Put a piece of coloured sticky tape on machine at 3/4 in from needle and another at the next measurement. It helps to keep your eye focused. Great idea, I'll be making some of these for Christmas presents.

I would put my square of fabric right sides together and draw my circle on the top fabric. Sew around as you directed and then cut the circle out. I have a hard time matching the 2 cut circles. Thank you for the instructions.

These are super cute! Very helpful tutorial.
Do they serve a purpose other than just decorative? Not that that's not enough, just curious :)
And is there a certain type of fabric that works better? Or any to avoid?
    Thank you!

Sourdough starter has to stay covered. Some people use plastic wrap or a baggie. This is a cute and sustainable way to cover my starter.

I'm thinking of using waterproof canvas, easy to wipe, I'd like to use for coffee mug outdoors so no bugs can have a drink, what do you think?

I use whatever I have but usually it’s the 3/8 inch thick since it is fairly reasonable to purchase a bunch.
