This looks so much like the tea cart my 95 year old uncle has but the wood is a very dark brown instead of light like yours started out. Your updates look turned out beautiful Sandra and I’m sure it looks wonderful in your home. Thanks for sharing and for being an inspiration. #HappyFridayEve 🤗

Since you do a good bit of furniture I have a question. I have a veneered piece I need to upcycle. Will it take paint well after the veneer is removed, or should I replace the veneer?
Thanks Leah! To answer your question veneer is sometimes tricky. If you can get it off without too much damage to the wood underneath, you could sand and then paint. But if the wood is too damaged and you can't salvage it then re -veneering it would be an option. You could also playing cat with some Thin wood boards although that might be a lot of cutting and trimming.
I couldn't decide if I wanted to work around the bubbled area on the top, or go at it with a razor knife of some sort. Thanks for the advice!
