The first few seconds I thought how could someone so geeky be a presenter, especially dressed like that, but as he kept on going on, I realized he's got a really good knowledge, brains, and I love his "Top Gear UK" style of humor. The guy's real good.

Good review although I disagree with the idea of waiting for the new model, since Ford did not and will not put the Ecoboost in a regular cab 2015 or 2016. I just picked up a brand new Tremor FX4 2 weeks ago and LOVE it!!! Awesome truck!!!

Just routine maintenance that I do myself. They've more than paid for themselves. Also own a couple Explorers (V8 models).

Ford needs to bring the Tremor back with a 5.0 option and with interior center shifter and do away with the colum shifter altogether...but the price should not exceed 35000 unless more equipped.

Bought mine used wit 16k on the clock and paid 30k, love this thing. Its perfect if your not married with kids. Iv read alot of butt hurt comments on this truck and you all are fooling yourselves. 1.Man up and buy a truck. 2.don't act and talk like you own one or have something better when you don't. 3 the only thing horrible about this truck is the gas mileage it needed the 36 gallon tank. All in all find one used with low miles and you will be the envy of many, Including butt hurt kids making dumb comments. Btw I wish it had heated seats thats where ford dropped the ball....

Yeah ppl just don’t get what it has the ability to be.. some may say if you want to go fast and handle by a vett or a mustang, what they miss is it’s different and some likes trucks..I do but I like cars, and enjoy having trucks that perform as well as a muscle car when you throw some parts at it..put it on a good air ride system ,like the QA1 mod where you can change shine packs and have a road course truck !and 2mins later you can have a drag truck with as much transfer as a demon..with the set up that you can have now some 61/2 yrs later there turbos and fuel for stock location turbos for 800 hp and even striker kits for the eco boost..heck it’s funny how we fell in love and still are with the GNX with a old dinosaur of a V6 yet a high tech twin turbo ecoboost ppl whine..it’s a great truck ,and a raptor can’t be hand fully loaded for 46k either ..stripped maybe back then ,but now 85k for a raptor sure makes 46k for a loaded truck seem like a deal
I test drove this last month and was not impressed what so ever...looks wise its beautiful but other than that it was a huge disappointment. Way too expensive and lacks performance. Drove a Dodge Ram 1500 express with the hemi and it blew this thing out of the water big time!
I gotta ask when was this recorded? All that snow, no way it was recent! And that rust, just tells me they don't make good quality stuff still. Why it isn't a v8 I have no idea, but then again im not a huge truck guy.
To this day it is the only F-150 you can find a 3.5 EcoBoost engine in. Plus, the same rear end as a Raptor, FX4 interior with a console, sport stripes & lights, bed liner. Even if you custom ordered an F150 online now they will not let you get a 3.5 EcoBoost in a regular cab or even any XL. I got mine used & it was expensive but I love it. It’s pretty much one of a kind cuz there are so few.
Great review. Check out Ford Australia's FPV ( Ford Performance Vehicles ) The F6 Tornado ute. The Pursuit ute. Super Pursuit ute. XR8 ute, XR6 ute, XR6 Turbo ute! These babies can produce 1000hp with a few mods and carry 1 Tonne payload. They're 2 door sports cars with a tray. Making your Trucks/Pickups look big and weird. ;) Ours are NA6 Turbo 6, V8, and supercharged V8
The 3.5L EcoBoost can deliver the same if not a larger amount of Torque and Horsepower as their 5.0L V8, not sure about the new 2.7L EcoBoost though....
So Ford wants you to pay $46k on a single cab truck with a V6, cheap interior plastics, and with no practicality what so ever? Haha no thanks Ford. I'll just stick to my 01 Tacoma. Has the same if not better interior plastics than the F-150's and cost me a fraction of the Tremor's price with rear seats as well

Also, when those turbos break, which they will, you will be on the side of the road crying. So have fun with your turbos and short engine life, I'll still be towing and driving in my Tacoma with 176k miles and counting. Hasn't missed a beat
NOLAItsNotOva Well if turbos shorten the engine life how come a diesel last so long. Just look at the testing that went into developing that motor. Sure you can find problems with any car and some might break down. On the topic of taking turbo off would be impractical being that the engine is designed for a turbo and is a low compression engine. The best example I can give you is the regular 3.7 V6 Ford uses produces 300hp. Toyota's current 4.0L V6 produces 236.

i get 18.3 mpg average on my f-150 ecoboost ...my bro has a 2011 ram with the 5.7 he get about 14 mpg average ....u must drive like a grandma to get that good of mpg on that 5.7
