Great fly. Been fishing them, with great success, for decades on the Deerfield and Swift Rivers in Western Mass. I wouldn't leave home without some in assorted colors in my flybox.
You do well with buggers on the Swift? I’ve gotten em on a few wet flies there but mostly scuds, etc…those trout are piiiiiiicky. The Deerfield, I can absolutely see that. I’ve gotten em on just about everything in that area. Best trout water in the state…
hello, i went to the link in your description for the bugger hackle, i was able to get it in black, but i would like it in white also, there is a white option, but it looks sort of yellow tinge. is it the same white shown on the woolly bugger at 00:49 or is it different? i don’t want to buy it and it come more yellow than white. thanks!
Just need a tutorial for how to cast that thing. As an amateur caster, I always make sure no one is looking when I try to cast one. But give up after a few and go home!! lol damn being new sucks
Lol. It’s all part of the process. You’ll get it down. If you haven’t seen it already, check out our beginner casting video - ua-cam.com/video/vgKIb32YPOI/v-deo.htmlsi=O_5Jsev8G_c1TOZX

I was crazy into this 25 years ago, you make me want to break out my stuff again !
I bought a rotary vise right before I stopped tying >
Thanks
Pumped to hear it Mark! Thanks for the comment. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Is bugger hackle different from just plain hackle? I love your videos btw very easy to follow.
Yeah. It has bigger/longer fibers. Glad you’ve found them helpful! 😎🤙🏽

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your vids man... 😀
what kind of chenille do you recommend the stuff I bought seems to just fall to piece once you cut it?
Just standard medium chenille. Would recommend checking out J. Stockard. They’ve got some quality stuff.
Thanks, I am brand new at tying and chenille I bought just falls to pieces. @@venturesflyco
Hey my first trout on a fly rod was also on a wooly bugger in olive
😎🤙🏽
@ventures, can you tell me the brand of your tying vise and model?
Hey Marcos. This is our Flysmith vise. We are hoping to launch it at the end of the month. 🎉
Great fly to both start fly fishing and tying #flytying
Totally agree. Appreciate the feedback. 😎🤙🏽
