Wow, I haven't seen one of the Mustaine LTD's in awhile. The 8 ball inlay gave me flashbacks...
You can't imagine how jealous I am of him. I always wanted to have that guitar and when I finally had the money for it, they were sold out everywhere and no longer in production because Mustaine had switched to Dean.
I always thought his ESP looked better than the Dean, but I still think Dave looks weird with anything but a Jackson. The Axxion guitar was uglier than hell though...
I think he was only with ESP for a year or so.

Dust808GamerMaster it's definitely not improvised in the sense that he just hit record and churned out some riffs .. a lot of work went into this I'd say. The guitar are double tracked so riffs have to be uniform and tight as hell (which they are), so yeah, not something you put together

Man I hate when artists waste tons of awesome riffs on gear demos. Guys don't squander your creativity, save it for writing songs or albums!!! Why don't you make an album Pete?
I think Pete just pulls those riffs out of the bag without any effort and he has a lot of these to spare.
+Thrashmetalkicksass Honestly, I don't really think these riffs are worthy of being on an album. I can reuse them if I change my mind though. I have plans for a proper EP this year :)
Think of it as exercise - the more riffs you write, the stronger that muscle gets and the more you can use it!

Pete Cottrell The point is that maybe you should focus more on the release of "official" material and consider gear demos only as a side aspect of your job. I think that an artist's (especially if it's a talented one, as you are) main goal is to release albums, all the rest shall be secondary. In the last few years, though, more and more artists are focusing their efforts on gear demos, thus neglecting the musical aspects of their careers. I know that these demos may be much more profitable than a "conventional" musical career, but here comes the question again: what's the goal of an artist? Can an artist consider himself "fulfilled" if he makes a living on gear demos, though not having any official release? We need good music in this world, and you talented artists are the only ones who can provide us with, it's like your mission, so don't waste your time/creativity on anything else. Sorry for this criticism and sorry again if any of my words sounded disrespectful to you, I assure you it wasn't my intention. I just needed to get this off my chest.
Thrashmetalkicksass I understand what you're saying. however, Pete should do what makes him happy. if he enjoys doing these demos, and would rather do this than an album, he should continue.
Can Guilty Pleasure be used in stand alone? Like if I wanted to just open the plugin and play through it? or can it only be opened up through a DAW and applied to a DI?
+Justin Lee Unfortunately, I don't think so. It can of course be played through within a DAW if you monitor it live but, I don't think it can be run as a stand alone. Thanks for watching! :)

+Justin Lee Yep as long as you've got a DAW with a monitor function like in Cubase then you'll be good. It's quite low on CPU usage too so all in all its a very good plugin. New videos coming soon when I get my new editing PC :)

So you converted the guitar from active to passive? It comes with active EMGs stock doesn't it?
I've got a Ibanez RGA-7 with Blackouts but have been pondering a change for passive pups.
He's playing a old DV8 (Esp/LTD Mustaine Signature) this was before he come out with his Livewires and he was still using JB/Jazz and I'm pretty sure it came with them stock.
+Kjell Eilertsen It's the stock pickups that came with the DV8 models before Mustaine switched to his signature Duncans and shortly after left ESP. They're the JB and Jazz set. The guitar linked in the description is pretty much identical though but it has Active EMGs instead of Passive Duncans :)
