This is so, so good! Katrine is otherworldly. While I appreciate you checking out the studio/music video version first, I hope you set aside time for the live at Gildehallen version. That is probably my favorite live performance of theirs. Ridiculously good.
A band I don't know. Love the slide the vocalist uses on her notes. I'm interested to know if that slide is a feature of Nordic folk, and that's why we hear it in her and Aurora's vocals.
Great choice. I just realized I never watched the video. That is because the live in Gildehallen version is so amazing. But thanks to you I got to see a for me new side of this song. Still, I recommend looking at the live as well. Believe me, it’s worth it. Maybe even another reaction 😉 Greetings from Germany
Check out Lullaby live at Storås. A bit different build up where the heavy part comes more as a suprise and there is a short guitar solo as well. When it comes to original videos I will recomand. No Fairytale The Waiting game Bardaginn. Keep up the good work Kalandra deserves more recognition.🤘

This video is so beautifully shot. The same production company has done several of their videos and they're all incredible. The Waiting Game is done with a single shot. It's beautiful and wildly ambitious. Everything Kalandra puts out is made with obvious passion. That was true even before they got signed by a label. I'm not sure how they were making any money. It's great to see them finding a wider audience. They've definitely been paying their dues.
Has anyone suggested the band Heilung to you yet? They’re one of the popular bands in the viking folk music realm (they’re actually touring with Eivor next year). One of their singers, Maria Franz has one of those beautiful nordic voice you’ve mentioned enjoying. I recommend starting with Anoana Live. Their live concerts are something else (they refer to them as rituals and dress up in full costume, with custom instruments based on history). The music video for Norupo is also a great showcase of Maria’s voice.
@@Casin I have indeed heard of them but have only seen/heard a couple of songs. I've got tickets to see them next year, so will be doing some reactions as I want to hear more of their music before I do.
Glad you are enjoying the wonderful Kalandra, everyone has told you to watch the live @ Gild already, so all I will say is let us know what you thought of it in your next reaction because it is a favourite

Interesting point.
I guess we'll have to listen to more Nordic folk to find out.

"Galdrinn minn mun gjalla..."
If you want a kind of break from the traditional Kalandra buildup, see & listen to Bardaginn❣🤘
... and BTW, it's very Viking'ish 🙏
@@steinmortensandbech8756 Nice one. I'll check it out.

@rolfjamne8922 Thanks Rolf.
Thanks for reacting to Kalandra again. This song has a great live version also, but their music videos are always supercool.
