    I planted two or three of the small alliums, two pink yarrow, three hakanakloa, 12 carex, one hellebor, two autumn bronze ferns, three sombrero echanaceas, two yellow echanacheas, one Summerific hibiscus, twelve mini monk grasses, eight tall grasses, four forget-me-nots, one Mistic Falls wisteria, one dappled willow, a crate of tulips, and those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. I'm hosting a ladies garden tea party this spring so I think I'm ready. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Came upon your site by accident this morn (5/31/20) and enjoyed it (and your narrative) very much! You are a vivacious (fast) speaker, and your enthusiasm is appreciated. I hope you will consider mentioning the name of each plant more than the once at the start of each description (instead of saying "it" or "they"....). The name is easy to miss when writing copiously...ditto re on the screen. Thanks!

      Laura has had wonderful luck with Osmocote for her shrubs and Proven Winners plant foods for her annuals. She is a very arid location, and really does not struggle with bugs or insects....

      Best to ask that at your local garden center, they will be able to advise you on what specific plants can work in your dry area.

    Love the new plants! Could you tell me the difference between Brunnera and Coleus? Thanks

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube
      @ProvenWinnersYouTube  4 роки тому

      Much of the difference is in the appearance. Coleus plants can get quite tall, and will grow in sun or shade. The brunnera is a low to the ground plant with a very interesting design on each leaf.

      They would probably need a bit of shade from the hottest part of the day or they would fry.

    Hi Laura I'm new at this so bear with me ... will I be able to plant perennials in rocks? Because my landscape is rock. I'm full sun -south facing home with no shade in Chicago. Thanks Amy

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube

      No, you really need to plant in dirt, which holds the water and the nutrients the plant thrives on. This article might be a bit, beauty.provenwinners.com/rock-garden/
