About twenty years ago I was writing a short story for an amateur writing compilation of sorts, and because I was listening to Tarot at the time, one of their song titles spoke to me so much that I took that and incorporated some of the lyrics into the story. I hit a tiny snag: the website's submission rules were that if you used song lyrics, you needed the songwriter's express permission to use them for fear of copyright lawsuits. So what did I do? I hopped on to Tarot's forum, messaged Marko's brother Zachary/Sakari (the band's guitarist and the most active band member on the forums) and asked him who I should ask. He pointed me first in the direction of the Finnish version of RIAA, who responded to me in a matter of a couple of days and in a very kind and warm reply told me that they only dealt with actual sound waves and that lyrics were always going to be for the songwriter to decide on. So I sent a further message to Zachary, who passed on my further forum PM to Marko. It took a week or so, I can't remember, but eventually Zachary sent me a copy-pasted message from Marko. I can't remember exactly what it said, but it was encouraging, slightly cheeky and friendly, and it all boiled down to "of course you can use my lyrics in your story!" The story is now long gone (I lost several hard drives over the years, and the website fell into mismanagement or lack of management) but the memory still persists. He is definitely a good one.
One of the cool things about Nightwish is no egoes Floor probably the best allround singer in the world finding it a pleasure to sing backing vocals for Marco and applauding him with no thought of overpowering him and With the rest of the band looking on with admiration.

Uncle Marco is one talented musician. I am definitely someone like that! And just like you said. I feel sorry for all of those people who don't feel music on that "deeply emotional level". "Without Music, Life would be a mistake"!
It's so good. Live versions have that special something. Seeing the band enjoying themselves, interacting with each other and really loving what they do.
They are a LIVE band! :) A LIVE band... I hope you see that now. Forget their studio stuff. It's funny that you like the visuals of the studio work but have your eyes closed for some of the best expressions on their faces (especially Floor) in their live performance. I love the joy they radiate when they perform.

Marco's voice is amazing when you realize back in the 90's he had a botched Polyp operation on his vocal chords which left one partially paralyzed and robbed him of his head voice. He had to basically learn to sing again and man didn't he do it well. Marco had a single released from his solo album Pyre of the Black Heart. Yes, he does all that...without looking. Why don't you do both? It's nice to see what they do with the visuals, but the live versions are usually a bit different from the studio versions. A lot of people love these double, or sometimes triple, reactions.

When in doubt, regarding Finnish pronunciation, just pronounce each and every letter and you'll probably get it right. Silent letters and what not isn't exactly a commonality, we pronounce words the way they are written 🤷♀️
Marko's composition, he thought it was not a good fit for his own band, so Tuomas thought it could be a Nightwish song and wrote lyrics to it. For once lyrics that don't require much interpretation, reading between the lines. He said it himself, not in these exact words but something like that. Marko's cleans sound so beautiful in this one. The Nightwish tribute to Pink Floyd, "High Hopes" Helsinki 2005 is another fine example of Marko's vocal skills, his rock voice. The performance as a whole is fantastic. Emppu has a long guitar solo for once. Jukka on drums kills it although you can see he is not ok. Migraine? Tuomas, on keys creates, an eerie atmosphere. You said you have no idea how to pronounce Tampere. You were wrong. You should have trusted yourself to get it right the first time, because you did!
You have to be a fairly good singer to have Floor as a backing vocalist. . . . . . . . . . . The un-subtitled bit Marko said something like: "If I play the chorus, you will sing along? You will? OK, then we'll do it!"
