A court in Cambodia sentenced several environmental activists to jail on July 2, 2024. Members of the green group, Mother Nature, were found guilty of plotting against the government and insulting the king after exposing the pollution of a public river near the royal palace in 2021.

As a citizen of Cambodia, this is the equivalent of living in North Korea. Without even speaking, Korean in the first place.

This is true. Sadly in Cambodia protesting is a crime. Thats why theres protest in America during the parade. To bring awareness and gives voices for those who dont have in Cambodia.
As a cambodian american, i applaud them for trying to fight for what they believe in. But if you live in a country where you can openly bribe the police to not give you a simple speeding ticket, then you shouldn’t be surprised about the outcome of your protest.
