You can go to any hospital and ask for medical certificate of your said disability. But when you are in recruitment process, you must go to the hospital assigned by the authority on the day and date decided.. i.e. your appointment to get your disability verified. Both these things may be done by different teams of medical officers. She must have realised that the latter one was done by officers who would identify and prove her forgery. Therefore, she didn't go for medical verification later on during the process of selection

Please look into the Indian Railway Services recruitment, you will definitely find a lot of worms in it. A couple of years back an Indian Railway Services officer committed suicide at a railway station in Bihar. No proper investigation was done after it. The can of worms exists inside UPSC, doesn't matter which govt is in the center, they work as usual every time.

A probe needs to be conducted, who has conducted the hearing test, verified it, and signed by 6 doctors. They might be some under pressure or it could be a bonafide mistake. so, proper investigation needs to be conducted against all the perosnnel
