Nope she is alive bro there is a side story dlc that explains what happened to her she best ogre but had to do spiritual hibernation to heal for 7 years
It's 10x better imo has it felt more climactic and final than whatever multiverse nonsense MK1 was. But those ending teases really dragged it down a bit for me.
Better than Tekken 6 and 7 for sure in the story and that wasn't hard to do. Reina is legit and now she's the only one with the Devil Gene and she will become the new main villain like her father ans brother. Cons, most deaths are meaningless since Zafina and Claudio survives, missed opportunity to utilize Asuka more in the plot like have a conversation with Jin just to know her cousin, have one more Paul vs Kazuya match even if Paul won't win, Yoshimitsu should have confronted Bryan in the battlefield and Hwoarang isn't playable in Tekken Force. Overall better than Street Fighter 5, Mortal Kombat 11, Mortal Kombat 1, Tekken 7 and DOA 6 in terms of the story. 7/10.
An Epic Battle between Father and Son was the biggest Ultimate Climax in all of "Tekken" History. Unpopular Opinion: "Jin vs Kazuya" Final Battle in T8 is way more Awesome than "Heihachi vs Kazuya" Final Battle in T7.
Nope. Kaz and Heihachi actually have a dynamic and relationship. There's a reason why in this story Jin and Kaz have no reflection of each other. Kaz doesn't really see Jin as a son. Jin just see's Kaz as a horrible person to take down that he can see himself in. Heck, the only relation we have talked about in the story is Jin and Asuka, which is that they are distant relatives and Raina. Jin never acknowledges Lee or Lars as even relatives on screen. Tekken 7 , acknowledges the relationship between Kaz and Heihachi and how messed up it is.
Azael took over Claudio and I am pretty sure they will explain it later on. Seems Claudios arrow did more than just cut Kazuya. The arrow not only cut but whilst travelling past Kazuya it took part of Kazuyas devil power/blood and struck Claudio. IMO We all know that devils dont die so easily. So thats my theory if it is in fact him.
6/10. There were some cool ideas there, like how you can choose a character in tournament, return of Tekken Force mode and I liked seeing characters such as Lars and Xiaoy (finally) getting to do cool things. Also, animation and music were top notch. But outside of that, it was kinda meh. A lot of characters with obvious roles got pushed aside in favor of other characters who don't deserve it, Jin is forgiven way too easily, Kazuya made for quite boring antagonist, a complete waste of Jun and, with exception of Reina, new characters being uninteresting (Victor was just a fancy Raven, while coffee girl was just dumb). And, of course, there's whole final fight that tries too hard to be cool and it just goes on forever. At some point enough is just enough. It is better than T7 and SF5, I'd give it that, maybe on par with MK11.
A cheap copy of Tekken 4's much better ending, and like I said before, Reina was much more interesting when she relied on her wits rather than the Devil Power
She didn't even "rely" on the devil power. She was attempting to awaken it the entire time. Who's to say she won't combine her wits with her newly acquired devil power?

6/10 dragon ball Z power ups don’t make the story good. It was just more Mishima bullshit. The side characters got time to shine but very minimal and it was all just take jerk off jin. In MK the side characters get their own plot lines and character development, even though we know Liu kang is gonna be that guy.
Fair but in the same reasoning kazuya wouldn’t have survived the the beat down by Jin in the beginning even ignoring the parts you play kazuya was dragged across the block by his head and no sold it while after the power boost got tested by Reina and Lars with the head but and kept spamming lasers not that confident in his fighting abilities
@@Onbutteredtoast You mean the same beginning where Kazuya was playing and took no damage, I think he would’ve bin good he’ll still be good since they would’ve still had unnatural abilities and durability for stuff like that. Jin won bcuz he's THAT tough to beat. Jin definitely pushed himself to the limit. Even without the power of friendship bs scenes, Jin's conviction is so much stronger than his father's. Stop being so salty cuz your boi ain't THE MC of tekken, it's Jin.
Probably a controversial take, but this is... Surreal AF, abstract, with straight up weird power levels. I know you always care for the stories this genre tells, I just feel they shouldn't try to tell one any more, if this is the 8+/10 of them. Low bar indeed. Much better to keep it to individual stories for the roster and a generic reason to fight each other or compete with each other. Just as it is with MMOs which now do the whole "Chosen One" thing, this stuff makes no sense unless one's main is Jin. I may be alone in wanting MMOs to go back to having us be the "Nameless Soldier" but surely this can't be a satisfying story to many? Cheap emotion and nostalgia bait moments, pointless deaths that are immediately reversed, teasing for DLC- It's too obvious and clumby. I'm also rating my take a TextBrick/10, have a good evening! :3
Leagues better than MK 1 hell better than the rebooted MK trilogy and that shit DLC. I’ve been playing SF 6 world tour and I enjoy it but Tekken 8 is a goddamn masterpiece! Redemption arc achieved after tekken 7! I really hope one day Tekken gives us a create a character story that’s even half as good as Tekken 8’s story .
My Ratings for this story: Objective Rating 6/10 Tekken Fanboy rating 2/10 Overall 4/10 Some cool moments (Jin reconciling with the Devil, Tekken Force, JinxXiaoyu), but a lot of issues. Characters like Jun, Zafina, Claudio and Nina were all wasted after having been built up heavily. They did not earn Jin becoming the world's saviour at all, everyone fawning over him was ridiculous. It still makes no goddamn sense for Kazuya to be anywhere close to Jin in terms of power after what happened in Tekken 4. And speaking of Tekken 4, the Jin-Kazuya conflict here was just a carbon copy of what happened in that game, with the ending being the biggest offender, and I am sorry, but it was better the first time. The Jin-Kazuya conflict reached its natural end in Tekken 4, and should have been left behind in that game, but instead we have had 3 games of wheel-spinning (6,7 and 8, 5, for all its problems, had a new conflict). Nowhere near Tekken's best canon story, Tekken 4 clears it by a country mile (and if we include non-canon arcade endings, it falls even further behind).
Everyone "fawning" over Jin was just the realization that he was their best option to stop Kaz. Plus Jin was always a savior, just not in the typical sense due to him doing wrong for the right reasons (summoning Azazel to kill him and end the Devil Gene) while Kaz was (temporarily) doing "right" for the wrong reasons (exploiting the public's blind faith that he was a savoir against Jin).
