I have purchased two Juiced Bikes twice. I purchased a Crosscurrent S and a Crosscurrent X. For the most part, everything is pretty standard equipment. I think we need to put together a list of options for batteries, controllers, displays, and other components that are probably available from sources other than Juiced.
That's a shame, i have had 2 juiced bikes, and today just happened to try out a Lectric xp 3.0 -- what a piece of crap that thing is, that company should have gone under not Juiced. Makes you really appreciate the quality and thought in engineering that Juiced brought.
I own a Juiced RipRacer and a Vvolt Sirius. I chose both of them because they've been around and service was fairly good. Actually Vvolt is from Showers Pass, the high end rain gear people, and they are fantastic when it comes to support. They answer emails and phone calls right now, like right now. They also have a 3 year warranty. Anyway, the reason I didn't look at a lot of these bikes is because their websites are so flaky when it comes to "about us", and about support. What would really be nice is if people reviewing bikes had more to say about where the company is really located and what can be expected from support. There are horror stories out there regarding some of these companies. I have a Juiced HyperScramber 2 on order, bought and paid for, just waiting for delivery. Fingers crossed they make that right somehow.
I'm in Australia and bought a Juiced crosscurrent few years back. Soon after they stopped selling or providing ANY service to Australian customers, even refusing to ship parts to my local reseller. Eventually managed to find parts i needed via online store in Canada, but Juiced were dismissive and unhelpful leaving customers here in the lurch....
I have a JetCurrent Pro and I really like it. Great power on the hills! However, based on your video, I am concerned about Juiced support. I may need to sell it.
Purchased a RipRacer in April. Its an awesome bike! I had the charger go bad in May or June but had a new one from Juiced in about a week. I went with Juice because they had been around for so long, bummer.
W😯W I have been saving for a Rip Racer . This might explain no reply when I signed up for the BAJA Yellow for $999.00. Guess I'll check out the Magicycle Ocelot Pro. Any thought on Magicycle ?

New York has been shut down on Amazon for certain e-bike parts and batteries. Big change is coming. Big as in Big prices, Big waiting lines at the DMV. I guess the wrath of Karrens has spoken. 🙄
I preordered a hyperscrambler on June 15 of this last summer and was told that it would come mid July. Mid July comes, and nothing. They said to now expect it mid September. They also somehow forgot to order my color bike so I had to switch that. Although I love my bike, I sort of regret buying it because of the customer service issues.
Very informative video and I appreciate your views and opinions. I am a Juiced rider and my customer service interactions were always positive and helpful and I haven't had any trouble with my bike. Please keep us updated and keep up the good work.
Im buying my first bike, hyperscrambler used. I already own a Onyx drive train just need a frame so this will do lol. I fully intend to learn with this first bike...
Can anyone connect me w/ an LCD display controller for the Ripcurrent S. Just a year old in august and the part was stolen in Brooklyn. My son ordered the part, a part that said it fit but it does not and now I can’t get ahold of Juiced or part. Please help….
Is Ecells next? They haven't shipped out a bike at all recently, and if you call them and ask when they're going to get a shipment in, they are clueless.
Dave Cleveland is insane, he is driving that company downhill with his bs. He killed a dude in a coke DUI and started Ecells while on house arrest like 12 years ago, they didn't launch until a few years ago and he is already making enemies by talking bad about Wired, the same exact bike as his,did himself no favors, Wired added a new headset and extra battery for free blowing him away.
do you want a reliable bike? If all you want is a fair weather rider than the aventon is fine. If you want a bike that holds ups to the elements and has a large support system, don't buy aventon. we sold aventon for a year and I've never had to do so much warranty work. Trek ebikes never give me these problems.
@Adventures4vida I was wondering how much they cost? My Trek dealership carries Magnum ebikes, and Trek electric mountain bikes. The one I wanted was $12,700, but that's only a dream. Our shop here in town is tiny.
@@Mark-qv4bn you can get a marlin 6 plus for 2700 bucks. 12,700 is too much, only people with money to waste should buy those, and I work at a trek dealership. Most people are just fine with the powerfly or entry level rails.
Luckily I got only two juiced e-bikes scorpion x2 and hyperscrambler 2. I've enjoyed riding those moped style ebikes, and I'm customizing the looks of the bike. When I've found out that they're already been bankrupt in 1.2 million dollars and closed permanently.
I'm so happy that I bought my 2 e-bikes from Spark CycleWorks and although it's a small company they build good quality products. All the parts they use are available in the after market scene so I don't worry about my bikes not being supported in case this company goes out of business.
I'm in the middle of a warranty claim. My bike just shut off while riding it. I sent the battery back to them along with the display. It still didn't work. They sent me out a new controller. When i plugged the battery into the port there was a pop and it started smoking. They were gonna send me a new battery, 4in1 wire harness, xt60 cable etc. That was about a month ago. The items haven't shipped and now I'm stuck with a boat anchor. I loved the bike for 600 miles. Really sad. Anyone have any suggestions?
You need to hardwire the battery (very easy with an xt60 extension cable). Basically the contacts on the battery and bike get loose quickly. I think I created a post on Reddit in juiced forum.
@alexrossmann7672 thanks ill look it up. I put a multi meter up to the xt60 cable that went to the controller and the battery showed 54volts at that connection.
My post: "My Rip Racer (class 3) recently began momentarily "cutting out" and providing no power to the motor. The display would stay on, but as the problem got worse, I might have to reboot the bike to get power to the motor. Most recently my light would turn off with the motor so I decided it was time to fix it as the issues were occurring every ride. Not sure where to start (I didn't know it was the connectors at this point) I rode over to a buddies place to borrow his battery for troubleshooting. Coincidentally I was riding the bike back to my house (still using my battery) and noticed the motor stopped over bumps. I could hold the battery over to the right and it would work again. I decided I would just solder some xt60 connectors on to replace the faulty connectors, but to my surprise I found xt60 connectors on the controller and inside the battery. I purchased a 3ft cable from Amazon that had a female xt60 on one side and a male on the other. I pulled the factory connectors (you do need to remove the battery end cap and the "docking" plastic on the bike) and I just joined the remaining ends together using the new cable, no soldering needed. You could probably use a much shorter cable (1ft) but there was plenty of room in the down tube channel to store the excess, and being able to have the battery connected, but on the floor next to the bike was convenient."
I do think they’re gonna come back and use a lot of r&d the company has taken over the year especially with batteries since that’s where they started. I’ve seen plenty of Jude’s bikes over 5k miles and some even over 15k so I’m sure they’ve got some kinda good tech to get that kinda reliability
Elephant in the room.... You brought up the UK type laws coming here. I live in California. It gets pretty bad here with the lack of responsibility by some riders. This does happen everywhere though. The most important statement you made here is that the public sees all the bikes the same. I think a better cause would be to get on the manufacturers to place a different label on anything that does not fall under class one two or three. That is the real elephant in the room. The public far out numbers us, and even though their viewpoint is full of tunnel vision and they are not seeing the reality. This does not matter. that is what’s going to get regulations coming in along with restrictions on where we are able to ride. It could go as far as it did before now that the CPSC is involved. back in the 1980s they banned the sale of all three wheel motorcycles throughout the United States. That was because they got involved then. So it can happen.
Very well said. I live in California too and my ebike looks like a bike but the Surron guys are speeding and doing wheelies and stuff so now the cops are hassling all of the ebikes.
I've had a rip current for 6 years and it's been a great bike, just not fast enough. I've recently purchased a Wired Cruiser which is much faster,3x more powerful, and the same price I payed for the Juiced .

When is the podcast regarding one of the companies that may be in trouble? Since I'm out 2 grand on my Juice purchase I'd like to not go down that road again. Also, I know you said you don't want to name anyone just yet, but will you be naming at some point? Actually, that's an interesting situation (probably not for you!). Yea I mentioned it to him several months about that I wanted to get on a pod with him. Things have been busy, but I will for sure reach back out to him to get a conversation going. 🫡
Honestly, I’m not sure why anybody is surprised at this. The vast majority of these imported bikes, owners are sourcing the cheapest parts possible to still be able to sell their bike. I.e., it has a suspension fork. Yes it is. It is also the cheapest fork money can buy. They are also pushing beyond the legal definition of an electric bicycle, but selling them as ebikes. While this is attracting markets of thrill seekers, it is also turning the general public against all E bikes. we are very quickly getting to where the majority of the bikes out there are not falling under a legal definition of an electric bike. Of course, law enforcement cannot do anything about this because who is to say if the bike is legal or not. Everybody sees that is a great thing, and so they can’t do nothing about me and my bike. Problem is when law-enforcement can do nothing, lawmakers come in and will. That is what we are about to be facing. this is basically a problem brought on by the industry itself. I really would have no problem with the entry-level parts. After all you get what you pay for and quite frankly many of these entry-level parts are plenty sufficient for what a lot of people want to do. But this pushing the legal limits, that’s gonna be a problem. personally, I have to stand against that. I think we should not be surprised to see a lot of these companies go out of business and leave their customers hanging. This has happened in plenty of other industries in the past.
Overall the product was overpriced and not very good, they did it to themselves, half hazard wiring jobs, the controllers are always governed, you need to buy a whole new controller to unlock them, garbage! 😂. Get out of here, no junk bikes please. Sucker 73 next!

But this pushing the legal limits, that’s gonna be a problem. personally, I have to stand against that. I think we should not be surprised to see a lot of these companies go out of business and leave their customers hanging. This has happened in plenty of other industries in the past.

What if any ebike, is Made in America? Are ALL batteries from China ???
Overall the product was overpriced and not very good, they did it to themselves, half hazard wiring jobs, the controllers are always governed, you need to buy a whole new controller to unlock them, garbage! 😂. Get out of here, no junk bikes please. Sucker 73 next!
