Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service crews deal with fire in waste transporter by Norwich Market.

Fire fighters from Sprowston and Carrow Fire Stations in Norwich, assisted by police officers of Norfolk Constabulary, United Kingdom attend a refuse truck that has developed a fire within it's load of waste materials in St Peter's Street by Norwich City Hall and the historic market place on Friday 5 August, 2022. The Sprowston pump is refilled with water at a hydrant outside the old city fire station in Bethel Street, adjacent to the scene of today's incident.
Note the extensive use of a TIC - thermal imaging camera, to check the vehicle and it's load for hotspots, so speeding the effective application of water from the hosereel jet.
