My Michaels sold out of these really fast so I ordered them yesterday and can't wait to get them and play with them. I have very little watercoloring experience but they look so fun to play with. I will be coming back to this video to try some of the techniques that I saw here when I get them. Thank you! :)
i'm glad the video is helping! you can use them to just add color to anything on paper really, it's not necessarily meant for watercoloring. they would be awesome to use for calligraphy because of their brush tips. when you get them, have fun experimenting in all sorts of ways!
I played with mine, today! I totally agree about the coral color - I would have preferred a skin tone. Here's something I found from my play: I drew a face on a page that I had partly covered in "leftover" teal acrylic paint from another project and I colored it using the Mermaid Markers. The ink worked great over the acrylics, but did not cover the teal color, as they are not opaque. I used a small round paintbrush and some water to help move the colors and accidentally touched an eyebrow with the brush. Of course, brown ink began to flow in places I didn't intend to be brown! I quickly added some more water with the brush and literally wiped all of the brown ink off of her forehead. I think it came off so cleanly because the paper was non-porous due to the acrylic paint covering it. I was relieved that it cleaned up so neatly. Thanks for the wonderful review!
What a great tutorial! When you first said how much you loved the yellow...I was saying to myself(and you) yes, of course, because it looks a lot like your favorite GOLD COLOR!! I think this a a great product!! Thanks for sharing 💞💞
hmmm, maybe they'll be a sale soon. it's not that cheap to buy here either. they are overpriced compared to the US but i was fortunate to have a Michal's coupon.
I bought these last Saturday too. Here in the US they gave us a 60% coupon. I couldn't pass these markers up. I love them! Beautiful painting! TFS, Heather
I just realized that you reviewed these markers. I bought them this past summer. I really love them. She has a bunch of new colors. I haven't bought them although there is some metallics that I think you would like. It's a 4 pack and it has this beautiful gold in it. I thought of you when I first saw them not too long ago thinking how you would like them...lol Her colors are beautiful. The watercolor palettes are really nice too. Thanks!!
These look cool but haven't seen them in the UK yet. Probably will be way too expensive anyway as we usually get stung for at least twice as much as in the USA and never get 50% off coupons. Thanks for showing them anyway. Always nice to know what's trending in the craft world. Xx
No we don't unfortunately. I usually shop online as there is only one craft shop near here and they are always more expensive than on-line so I hardly ever go. I'm sure I can live without them. I've got so much watercolouring stuff anyway. For example I have all of the Spectrum noir aqua tints which are also very bright and highly pigmented. I could always put some of those into water brushes and it would probably be very similar. Hugs xx
oh, do we ever have watercolour stuff! LOL you could totally put anything in a water brush and that way you could personalize your collection. and by the way, Jane's collection is exclusive to Michael's . That's why I was asking.
Your painting is stunning! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Pirate's Gold color (and the red you used) - it looks like pure sunshine! Thanks for showing me some "hot" on a cold day!

thanks, Yva! they are quite fun.
Love the colors and it makes me want something else now. Thank you:-)
thanks and sorry :-(
Best video showing the markers and what they can do. Shipping costs make them way too expensive in the U.K.

Do you have Michael's in the UK?

Oh OK. Well that's a definite sign then that I'm not meant to have them LOL. - Deep breath ...... I'm Over it xxx
Inktense is not ink. It is a super pigmented wax pencil. There is something added that makes permanent when dry.
Lovely!
I saw this display yesterday @michaels! Ended up buying her watercolors! Can't wait to try them! Maybe I'll do a demo and review of those!

Do they have them at the Michaels in Vaudreuil Cee Cee?
yes, that's where I got them!
I just got back from there and they don't have them anymore
Pirates Gold, such a treasure! Love those pens.
The only problem I have with those markers they overflow and difficult to control which create mess, maybe the brushes’ quality, not sure
Yummy 😍😍 the music great to 😸
I hope she sells refills or individuals soon.
