    We've been looking forward to this video for a long time. The opening clip sounds amazing. Thanks for digging so deep into the Ventris.

    So, there I was ready to listen to about 5 minutes of this - as I only normally use just a touch of Hall and that's it - but I was captivated to the end. Thanks Henning for a very interesting and entertaining video... :-)

    For clean the torpedo power amp sim isn't bad not as bloomy maybe but better then I thought! Cool pedal! it's between this and the empress as a fully functional midi controlled reverb.

    While the Ventris and Big Sky may be neck and neck, the Ventris seems like it would be easier to use and deal with day to day, no?

  • @capturedbyjupiter

    Hands down the most powerful and natural reverb pedal on the market. A recipe for endless inspiration.

    • @richardharrold9736
      @richardharrold9736 6 років тому +1

      There are so many great offerings now... Strymon Timeline (I call it a reverb for the purposes of this comment, as it has a shimmer mode of its own) and Blue/Big Sky, Boss RV500, TC Hall of Fame 2, the wonderful GFI Specular (and its partner Tempus delay, and the Tempus Specular that's both in one box), the MXR M300, Neunaber Immerse...

    • @MrBothandNether
      @MrBothandNether 6 років тому +1

      The new Specular Reverb *V3* & the Meris mercury7 also......the correct choice here is "All"

    • @capturedbyjupiter
      @capturedbyjupiter 6 років тому +2

      Richard Harrold I am aware. I stand by my comment.

    • @richardharrold9736
      @richardharrold9736 6 років тому

      I wouldn't say this sounds more natural than the other offerings... tbh I think the MXR has the nicest-sounding shimmer, but I was also hugely impressed by the Specular. There really aren't any bad-sounding pedals of this type IMO... the old-school Boss reverbs are a tad limited, but can produce some decent basic sounds. Does anyone actually make a modern digital reverb that sounds unnatural?

    • @richardharrold9736
      @richardharrold9736 6 років тому +1

      Fair enough! I'm just judging by the demos I've heard... I'm struggling enough picking out a few chords on an old acoustic, so I'm no expert!

    Wow Mensch! My brain kept saying "Uli Roth" during that intro...in my book a huuuuuge compliment. Come to think of it, "A"200 also comes to mind, with Richie's Spanish-styled runs. Splendid vid, I'm at the moment torn between this and the GFI Specular Tempus.

    For those who have already twinkled around with the Ventris, how close can you get to the Big Sky's Cloud and Bloom soundscapes?

    • @EytschPi42
      @EytschPi42  6 років тому +1

      it doesn’t really have something like that. You could play with pre-delay and get something gloomy, but those algorithms are where the Big Sky shines

    • @luckylicks3497
      @luckylicks3497 6 років тому +2

      As for creative algorithms, both have certain ones that are distinctive and very usable. The Ventris, however, took natural-feel reverbs to a whole new level. We now have even better and authentic artificial reverbs.

  • @daniele3452

    I agree with some other comments, you should put this track to bandcamp! It's one of your best. Also, would please make a video on how to program that kind of orchestral drum? It would be great.

    • @EytschPi42
      @EytschPi42  6 років тому

      the drums are super simple.... they are just samples from Native Instrument’s Action Strikes plug-in... they automatically adjust to your tempo... great plugin!

  • @Subtle-System

    “How I feed the dogs” hahaha totally... I bet the patron money is just chump change... this guys is obviously loaded!!! But he gives the most in depth , knowledgeable reviews... I love the new format so you could skip ahead if you wanted to... I own the ventris since the day it came out... And have the whole soleman system...and it’s just amazing... I just can’t get any third party midi devices to work properly on it. I’ve asked for help but so far nothing... I’ve done research and I think I’m following instructions to the letter... but obviously I’m doing something wrong... anyways.
    This is an instant classic videos, one of the best I’ve seen from Pauly for sure... he truly is the only guy that makes Source Audio justice... also check out the “L.A. Lady video” ... the amount of stuff you cab do even with those cheaper pedals is insane! But yeah, now we have to pay top dlls for the big boy reverbs and delays. Totally worth it. As Pauly said.

    Brutal to listen to. The title says "Everything you want to know." There were several things he did not know. The guy does play beautiful music with or without effects. But, he could have covered a lot more if he hadn't clowned around so much.
