I watch some of those fancy, heavily edited and high production channels periodically, but I watch EVERY video you upload. Your channel offers what other channels don’t- a straight forward, raw fishing footage. I can relate to it the most. Also, it is your personal style, character and approach to fishing that appeals to me and many other folks. Please keep doing you. I personally appreciate it very much!!!
Your channel is awesome brother, if it ain’t broke … you don’t need to change anything just keep on chasing what you feel like going after. The no nonsense approach to finding a solid bite is what it’s all about. I always look forward to the Fingerlake sessions w those huge Brown trout.
It's like a day fishing, when it's on your gonna be fishing hard. When its slow you bs with other fishermen. What i also appreciate with Elias is the sound of nature, no heavy blues music.
I have always found you as well as your content very likable. You are overall one of the best “ practitioner fisherman” that I know of. Thank you, Sir.
I really enjoy your videos and encourage more. I think I enjoy the videos more that put me in the same seat as you as you begin fishing. Clues or spoilers make me forward to the spots and I miss so much. I prefer to know as much as you did as you got into your craft.
I love what you're doing! I enjoy knowledge of your insights. This is you being you! We get a true fisherman with the passion we all respect. Thanks Elias
Love this type of video. It’s more of what most of us go through in a day. Like the discussion with the camera. Great adventure, thanks for bringing us along. Cheers
Always loved the simplicity, informative and straight to the point videos. B rolls and drone shots don’t show me how to improve my fishing. 😅 Thanks for the content brother, keep doing what you love!
Appreciate you trying out the longer / less edited format. It's a lot of space to fill with dialog, seems a little challenging to do but I enjoyed as a viewer. Looking forward to seeing some Finger Lakes action!!
Man I miss the 24 hour kayak fishing challenges with seamoney and fishaholic. Those were the days! I thoroughly enjoy the unedited format with lots of talking dude, you have a ton of great knowledge to share. Keep up the killer work!
The longer form style suits you well man! Can also do some pretty cool things with that style of what a trip on the water can be like. Working a wreck or a jetty in full could be pretty awesome, especially if you get change in conditions while you're out there! Do what you enjoy man =)
I love the unedited stuff. Editing takes up so much time , plus I’m not very tech savvy lol. I also cuss a lot out there, mostly at myself😅 and I’m not a great storyteller. So editing it is, but you’re a good speaker Elias. Keep it up.
Overall a good vlog even if the action wasn't as good as you expected. Can't tell you how often I've fished for 4 hours without any bites or maybe a puffer or toad. I'd like to hear more about the location, water temp, air temperature, weather, tides etc. I like the discussion on lures and tackle.
Stick with what you want to do. You fishing is why you’re watched. There used to be a bunch of fishing shows on tv. That blossomed into a huge nothing. Drones, RC submarines, etc are not needed. Thanks for your work
I think I am liking the unedited format. So much UA-cam fishing is clickbaitish stuff designed to push tackle/ boat / guide / resort products that teach nothing or next to nothing.
Before covid there were some houses to be had for 300kish with 6-9k in annual taxes. Would be less than 20k but still more than what you're paying in Carolinas. Food for thought. Only good thing about long island is the fishing, other than that carolinas take it.
I love the no edit..makes me feel better about my own fishing. Edited all you see is fish after fish coming in and you feel like you don't know what your doing. South wind seems to make a difference where I fish as well. typical day there seems to be an hour-1.5 hrs sweetspot and the rest of the tide is hit and miss. Varies from tide to tide where that spot is though. You gotta just love being on the water to enjoy fishing.
The reason many people watch your channel is because we can’t or either don’t live where you do and can’t go fishing. Watching you fish with out editing the videos shows us the real trip not just the highlights. I think it’s better to show us the whole story both good bad and the ugly. Not catching anything is why they call it fishing not catching but you do what’s best for your channel.
You’ve caught more fluke there than I’ve caught in five years, there haven’t been keepers there for years ! I can’t believe there’s no boat traffic there, tons of ferry boats , that’s usually dangerous areas for kayakers, please be safe.
I watch a few other fishing channels, only because I can't conjure up a new Elias video. Really, plain and simple works best for me. I've watched other channels chase gimmicks and content until I was sick of 'em. And I enjoy the long videos; I just have to budget time to watch them. I might have to split up my viewing time. Just please - PLEASE - never palm smack your camera to end a video! 😀
The long format shows people that fishing is not for people that need instant gratification. You can spend hours and literally not get a bite. Even though you consider this a ‘slow day’ I would have been thrilled catching 3 keeper fluke in a 4 hour timespan. Keep up the good work! PS your camera angle was too high on the last fluke catch.
There's no need to tweek your format. Keeping things simple is an art-form, whether intended or not. Wind, water, birds, ... what could be a better soundtrack?
Of the 23 states that have a salt water shoreline, only 1 has no recreational fluke/flounder fishing in 2024. Good old North Carolina. I wonder what is the problem in North Carolina. At least the ice is cheap at the self service machines, $2.50 will get you 16 pounds in a bag or 20 pounds loose. That will get you ice so you can go and buy flounder at the fish market. Are you going to fish Virginia on your way back home?
I'll take your banter and advice over drone shots any day dude
Likewise, uncensored Elias trumps all 😤
Agreed
Your videos always make me want to go back to the East coast.
That being said, when you gonna come out West and catch some Cabezon man?
I watch some of those fancy, heavily edited and high production channels periodically, but I watch EVERY video you upload.
Your channel offers what other channels don’t- a straight forward, raw fishing footage. I can relate to it the most.
Also, it is your personal style, character and approach to fishing that appeals to me and many other folks.
Please keep doing you. I personally appreciate it very much!!!
Thank you 👍
You and Skinner are the reasons why I started my channel. I love fishing and sharing my experiences, the highs and lows, with others. Thanks Elias!
Your channel is awesome brother, if it ain’t broke … you don’t need to change anything just keep on chasing what you feel like going after.
The no nonsense approach to finding a solid bite is what it’s all about. I always look forward to the Fingerlake sessions w those huge Brown trout.
I like the diversity of content, some videos chatty, some just fishing. Keep those lines tight🤙
It's like a day fishing, when it's on your gonna be fishing hard. When its slow you bs with other fishermen. What i also appreciate with Elias is the sound of nature, no heavy blues music.
Awesome episode.. Real deal format, very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing!
I have always found you as well as your content very likable. You are overall one of the best “ practitioner fisherman” that I know of. Thank you, Sir.
I love your style of production and talking to yourself is fine.. it's good to be a little crazy
Elias your videos are really soothing and entertaining at the same time hope to see you out on the water sometime in NC
I really enjoy your videos and encourage more. I think I enjoy the videos more that put me in the same seat as you as you begin fishing. Clues or spoilers make me forward to the spots and I miss so much. I prefer to know as much as you did as you got into your craft.
This is so much more exciting than curling
I love what you're doing! I enjoy knowledge of your insights. This is you being you! We get a true fisherman with the passion we all respect. Thanks Elias

Like the discussion with the camera.
Great adventure, thanks for bringing us along.

Best fishing content there is...
I loved your old content too. Trash fish catch and cook was and is my favorite fishing UA-cam series
One of your best, thanks for sharing
Always loved the simplicity, informative and straight to the point videos. B rolls and drone shots don’t show me how to improve my fishing. 😅 Thanks for the content brother, keep doing what you love!

I love the simplicity of what you do and how informative your videos are just the way they are.
Love your channel!! It feels like we are along for the ride😊
Brother, do what you want to do...what you enjoy. You're the best on UA-cam. Your followers will be here.
Man I miss the 24 hour kayak fishing challenges with seamoney and fishaholic. Those were the days! I thoroughly enjoy the unedited format with lots of talking dude, you have a ton of great knowledge to share. Keep up the killer work!
alias- been watching you for years, always good content , dont be so hard on yourself- ty
Stay safe brother love your content
Your content has gotten much better like you said
The longer form style suits you well man! Can also do some pretty cool things with that style of what a trip on the water can be like. Working a wreck or a jetty in full could be pretty awesome, especially if you get change in conditions while you're out there! Do what you enjoy man =)
I'm okay with the long videos and I stayed till the end. Sea Robins were a pain .... Keep up the good work!
I love the unedited stuff.
Editing takes up so much time , plus I’m not very tech savvy lol. I also cuss a lot out there, mostly at myself😅 and I’m not a great storyteller. So editing it is, but you’re a good speaker Elias. Keep it up.
You keep it real!
i love the story
The sound of the video is good! The mics are working well!

If you in that area again. Start your drifts in front of the LH in about 15’. Nice bottom.

👍😎✌
TY Elias
What state are you fishing at? How deep? What net is that ? I like it
I thought you were back in NC at Bodie, but I figured it out. I like watching when you're fishing by yourself...no offense to your buddy.
When is Elias Jr coming.. I'm waiting for those trips..
You aint been missing much but sharks and 105 degree air temp at masonboro. Shoutout to the biodiversity terminology at 36:00.
Are you the same guy chasing Robin Williams in Jumanji ?
Great South Bay was the spot for fluke in the 70s.
Around here, the McDonald's drive-through is the cheapest place for ice, by far.
caught a 25 inch fluke the other day by that spot

Hey Elias, how do you like that jigging rod?
Absolutely love the jigging world custom
Not looking for exact location but what body of water??
GSB
I watch a few other fishing channels, only because I can't conjure up a new Elias video.

I make my own ice now . I'll be damned if I am going to pay for frozen water.
Do you not eat sea robins?
The long format shows people that fishing is not for people that need instant gratification. You can spend hours and literally not get a bite. Even though you consider this a ‘slow day’ I would have been thrilled catching 3 keeper fluke in a 4 hour timespan. Keep up the good work!

Hey...Fire Island Lighthouse!! Also, are you a fellow Greek?
Greek/Russian
Ha!.....3rd view for me!!
It was a decent video but I have to admit I watched it in three segments.
If you could start out by saying where you at, home, up north etc
Sorry, I didn't wait long enough in the video 😅
Rather have catches over drones… we get a good feel of location with your GoPro
Maybe just a lord of the rings quote here or there..measure a short..you shall not pass!!!!
why not just put the first keeper on a stringer and leave him in the water? No real need for ice. great videos BTW
Get flamed for fish torture on that.
There's no need to tweek your format. Keeping things simple is an art-form, whether intended or not. Wind, water, birds, ... what could be a better soundtrack?
I use to love some UA-camrs but it’s all about drone shots and fishing for nothing but big deep sea fishing
Love the new yak, but a younger version of Elias would have probably given you shit over it.

Cheap ice to bring to another state 😔
Aloha. Hope you’re not counting the west coast.
Hate to say this but I prefer the less talking elias.
