Yes! There are definitely days when nothing I do in my art works.... and other days where everything just flows and comes together wonderfully. Most days are somewhere in-between, for me. =) Great episode. =)
Thank you Savva and Colourinyourlife for a brilliant art feature. I am always so grateful for their generosity in sharing tips and techniques with the viewers.
This guy is genius! Love his art, and the blow torch drying and tripod easels. As a traveling photographer and watercolorist, the tripod idea is amazing. Totally going to get another mount plate for mine. :D
I can see why he's one of the best. Very beautiful, talented work. And I have to say I love your personality and the way how you talk about painting! Very, very inspiring!
wonderful work. Coming from another Mediterranean island, Malta I can empathise with the brilliant light in your Cyprus paintings. They capture the heat and light perfectly.
This is the first time I have heard of this artist but what a wonderful painter he is.More of him and his work please. Could he also tell us more about the easel he is using. He said it was a camera easel .
Im sorry Joan but Savva passed away about four years ago. He was one of the most loving and creative men I had ever met. He is missed to this day, Graeme
Stunning art work... What a great talent! My overriding thought at only a few minutes into this is his mastery of the medium.. Light and shadow... I am very impressed ! So glad I clicked on this one! Oh my word .. the trick for the boat drawing ... priceless !! THANK YOU !!
Graeme Stevenson (Colour in Your Life) - Oh how very sad. The world lost a great light. Thank you Graeme for capturing this mans magic. Thank you for your beyond excellent show. I’m a life fan of your show from kiwi land. Kia ora mate.
oh, I am sorry, it is so sad to hear that. He semmed to be very friendly. Sorry for his family too. May they find consolation in the hope of the resurrection.
Graeme, your artwork is vibrant, dramatic, and absolutely amazing! That being said, I'm truly overwhelmed with your lovely compliment. ☺ What inspires you artistically? Are there any videos of you being interviewed? Thank you!
Hi Patty, what inspires me most is Knowledge. I simply cant get enough of it, whether it be knowledge of Art, Science, biology and in general life. The more I learn the less I really know. I love to be able to sit with my mind and think of ideas and scenarios of why we are here and how the universe works. My friends have always said to me, Grae you think to much, but I am never alone or bored. I have included some links for you about what I do. Thanks for being in touch, there was just something about your face that made me reach out to you. Наконецто крутой художник!!! Побольше бы таких видио пожалуйста. а ТО ПОСТОЯННО КАКИЕ ТО БЕЗДАРНОСТИ At last a cool artist!!! More such video please. and CONSTANTLY, SOME lack of TALENT
Alan Hi, on the show If I can remember right I used Pure squirrel mops. But while away, travelling around it's not easy to find an artshop that stocks them. So end up buying whatever I can. At the end though I use whatever I have and can find. Sometimes you just reach in the box and grab a brush without even checking if it's real or not. :) Time counts a lot when you're doing plein air. Shedz is right too, I use synthetics when I need a bit more body to the brush. where you need a bit more control. Anyway thank you for watching and I hope you liked the show.
I've shot squirrels, but I've only used the fur for fly tying. I guess I could try making some brushes since I got bunch of tails and it's cold and snowy here anyway. Also my neck starts to hurt if I paint too much. My beginner's posture is probably very bad. Worst is if I paint with paper on the table while sitting, 3 hours can bring me 3 days of constant pain.
7:37 That boat trick is awesome. I love love love simple things like that.
I'm so grateful to this series for introducing me to so many amazing artists.

Savva Passed away at the beginning of this year Martin, Graeme
Strange couldn't spot him in pintrest
to me it looks like hes using a synthetic squirrel brush
really? looked real to me.
the brush he used after the squirrel looked synthetic tho
