Good stuff. I wholeheartedly agree on the trolling motor, and I'm still using a 25 year old foot control. I'm sure I look hilarious at times when I'm by myself. Just at a stage of life with family and budget issues where its hard to justify the cost when I only get to go a handful of times a year.
Drag will work fine until it hits that stop then there is no drag. I use 4lb. Test with a loop knot. It usually will break in the loop. I've had big blue cats hit so hard it sounds like a firecracker going off! Thanks for watching!
I long line Oconee as well. Little bit of an addict. Yall listen to him. I've boated countless on $29 Zebco combos from sugar creek. Spend your money on the things that matter.
Well done and thank you. Do you longline year-round or is there a temperature range to target? Not much happening for me right now. Does your speed change much throughout the year? Thanks.
Thanks for watching! You can longline year round however, the transition periods are the most productive times of the year, especially the prespawn. Other techniques are more productive at other times of the year. Use your speed to fine tune the depth you want your jigs to run. That's the main thing you want to use speed for.
To me the time between beginning of prespawn to end of post spawn when they are moving in and out is vest time of year. Here in Georgia that would be beginning in late February. Temps will range anywhere between low 50s to mid 60s. You can use this technique year round though.
You’re right about those rods. I bought mine at Academy in Athens 10 years or so ago. Still going strong. Good video.
Yessir! Thanks for watching!
This is the video I needed. To the point and honest. Thank you.

I agree with you about the trolling motor. I bought a used Terrova with I pilot and spotlock. I love it. Game changer for sure.
Absolutely! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Hope you get to put many miles on that Terrova!
Thanks for sharing you knowledge. I just finished your Lining method video on UA-cam. Excellent job! Thanks
Thanks for leaving a comment and for watching! I appreciate it so much!
This is very helpful. I just got my first fish finder. Now I need to learn how to use it.
Thanks for watching! So glad it was helpful! It won't be long you will want a bigger better one! And they always got one that's bigger and better!!

What water temperatures do you normally like to do this in?
