i was wondering how everybody lowered these trucks, great video thanks man! Also to help with your english, the screw with the lower cone shaped head is called a "counter sunk screw" and the screw with the bigger head is called a "button head screw". just so you know for next time :)
Can I ask... I am new to my D12 that came with a 1200mAh 7.4V battery. I'm slowly modifying to all metal suspension and drive train and 370 motor with metal trans. All electronics are stock however. It's not going to be a drift truck, but I need to ask a few things to get to the next step. I want to put a roof mounted light bar on it and I see some unused plugs on the controller board. Can any of them be used for powering the light bar? And will I be able to use the stock radio or will I need one with more on-off power switches? I also hear the 370 motor I've ordered may overload the controller with a stock battery, but not sure if my uprated battery will solve that (if it is in fact a real issue)? Lastly, are there specs for front-end alignment?. My D12 is a bit too darty and no matter how well I trim, steering doesn't always come back to 0. The joints are not bound up at all and everything is locktighted. just alignment needs more tow or sompthin. Any help is appreciated. I am more dangerous than knowledgable here! PS. I'm asking these same questions on several D12 vids hoping to get answers, so sorry if you see this more than once in your YT D12 travels.
I just got me a d12. I'm just waiting for my body kit and wheels so I can lower it. Also bought the c24 body and it fits on d12 chassis. The only problem is the rear axle are too wide. I need those upper and lower control arms.
NEED HELP WITH MY D12: I upgraded my D12 to all metal chassis, 370 motor and metal trans and upgraded suspension. If I put any kind of load on the motor, either the radio completely loses its signal to the truck (headlights flash) until I re-bind OR the truck suddenly loses signal until I stop the load w/o making me re-bind It does not do this at all if I have no load on the truck by holding it off the ground. This is real annoying and I'm wondering if I was supposed the remove the capacitor off the old 260 motor and solder it onto the 370? Any ideas why it's doing this? BTW... I'm asking this question on several D12 videos so sorry if you see my question elsewhere. I'll try to remove it when this issue is resolved.
Very good and informative video, thank you for doing this! I did what you showed to lower the back, by removing a sping and add in on top, however now the left resr wheel now rubs, does yours too? I think it might be because the driveshaft is not centered and sits a bit on the left side of the truck.
If you mean the left rear wheel rub because it is "wider", then maybe it's because the hex installation from the factory. The right hex installed deeper than the left side. The uneven driveshaft is no problem, it's normal even in a real car. To fix it, you can change the hex using the metal one and cut the axle a bit to make the left side closer to the chassis. But if you mean the left side is lower than the right side, it means the left side suspension is softer than the right side. It can be the rear left suspension is softer or it can also the front left suspension is softer. Or it can also happen if you put something heavy on the left side of the car. What you need to do is of course make the left suspension stiffer or "higher" by reducing the prop on the rear or the front. Just for note, a mm different on the prop thickness can make significant difference. And also, when the motor running, the car will tend to flex to the side of motor rotation.
@@gadogamix thank you very much for your detailed explanation! It occurs even when nothing is loaded on to the car. I noticed that the rear left wheel stands out a bit more than the right one, I will try to shorten the adapter for the wheel just a little bit, so it should not rub anymore. Thank you again for your help and your great content, it really helped me a lot :)
Hi mate I’m looking to build a off-road style d12 but can’t seem to manage to figure out a way to lift the cab and tray up. Do you know of a way ? Thanks mate
Actually there are several people that already did that. But I forgot the link and I can't say much as I haven't tried to make the off road style of D12. However, this video is one of the best looking ALTO style of D12, I hope you can get some idea from this video by RC Review channel: ua-cam.com/video/B3GBnOo5eFE/v-deo.html
This is a simple method to install off road tires. For the front cab, you need to do sanding a bit. For rear bed, just add some spacer and longer screw: ua-cam.com/video/M2Sm6H1UV3Y/v-deo.html

Hello, I want to ask that can I install the suspention on the car after slammed? The shock absorbers.
I just got one and I’m dying to get home and do this.

What filament material should you use for pritning the parts?
i need to know😭

Thank you! Great video straight to the point and clear cut. 👌
Do you know where I can get thingiverse things printed and posted? I'd love those wheels!
Hi there's no flie for the front lower arm that have three hole. For drifting
Just check the profile on thingiverse.

I did this and now my car is just running as soon as it's turned on and won't stop, what could have happened?
What m size is the 11mm screw for the steering spring block?
Same like the original bolt but longer. So it's an M2 but with "rough" thread.
