Happy National I Love You Day!
This day aims to encourage people to express their love to their special someone. While Valentine's Day gravitates on romantic love, I Love You Day is all-encompassing: expressing love not only to our significant other, but to other important people in our lives as well, like parents, siblings, relatives, friends, colleagues, and maybe even pets!
Interestingly enough, this movement originated from a creative idea in the Philippines in 2015, where a filmmaker came up with a catchy hashtag to make his film known. While the movie did not reach stellar success in the US, the hashtag, which evolved from "#EverydayILoveYou" to "#NationalILoveYouDay" became a viral hit, reaching 62 nations, and 3 million tweets across the globe.
