  • We talk to Burt Reynolds about his appearance on the Johhny Carson show, and man he has some good stories! Before he went on air, the staff told Reynolds the do's and dont's Carson allowed on the show. After acknowledging them, Burt asked the producers for shaving cream and scissors. Huh.
If you've seen the interview you know what he did with them. But if you haven't, Burt runs us through it and it's fun to hear about the back and forth between Carson and Reynolds!

God bless you, sir. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm not smart enough to know what happens next, but I'm leaning toward the near-death experience (NDE) testimonials. There are countless accounts folks have posted here on UA-cam, so I recommend checking them out, especially if you are new to that subject. I like to listen to these people describe their NDE experiences. Sometimes I let myself take a little comfort and hope from them. Best to you.. ✌️🙏

Dom DeLouis was on just before and did an egg trick that worked, then they started throwing eggs. So when Reynolds came out, he started with the whip cream, and Carson did the pants and then rubbed it. After Reynolds did Carson's pant, Carson grabbed the whip cream and re-inserted it into his pants and Reynolds bent over backwards laughing. Few weeks later, Sally Field came on with shaving cream, saying the Reynolds told her it would make Carson laugh. Carson took the can, put a bunch on his hand and inserted it inside her blouse, then on top of her head and all over her legs. Lot of laughs at both episodes.

Reynolds came on Carson once without a hairpiece - I was very surprised, a first as far as I know. Anyway, he wasn’t as bald as I thought - a lot if dark fuzz with hairline having receded a bit. I thought he looked great natural and thought he should it more - though I’m sure some movie characters would’ve still required a hair piece for a role.

I grew up watching him, and into adulthood and he was always there thru thick and thin. I sure miss those days where it was not all full of political hatred. The younger set now watches late night shows who's only agenda is to be on the Trump bashing sickness. Saturday night live is just not worth watching anymore, nor any of the late night shows. Too bad because the younger generation will never know.

MauComm Aero- There's a big difference between political humor, and political commentary, and the three goofs doing late night now, don't seem to understand that difference. Night after night it's "Attack Trump," with their studio audiences howling approval, at the behest of their producers, like trained seals! All three of them have lost middle America, and don't seem to give a damn. Meanwhile, in nearly every market where they've aired Carson reruns in those time slots, the reruns have tied, or surpassed, the current late night shows in the ratings-- And STILL the stooges persist with their GARBAGE! Maybe the college age crowd adore them, but that's not the demographic that will keep their paychecks coming over time. Only two things can happen: Either the three stooges will fade out and be replaced, OR the late night talk show, once an American television staple, will eventually die out!

I'm a troll? but you sure took the bait then... now what does that say about you? Google search for when your idol Burt punched Judy Carne in the face...@@MGB18

@@fakerating: As opposed to you responding to me? What does that say about you? lmfao! You're a troll kid, plain and simple. Carne was a known heavy heroin addict you troll. Her book was mostly BS, and it was refuted by many who knew Burt. And for Burt being the least funny person on the planet, his comedy side, not to mention his dramatic side, sure cleaned it up at the box office for 10 straight years ('72-'82). He did some other great work after that also. His accomplishments speak for themself troll.

Wow, you really love Burt...and you just keep taking the bait from my original post. I love how you've decided Judy Carne was a "heavy heroin addict", despite her being arrest only for possession one time, like 15 years after Burt dumped her. There's no evidence she ever used heroin even a single time. But in your Trumpian way, you've come to all kinds of conclusions on your own, based on nothing. And I just LOVE how you've decided that even if she were a heroin addict, that's a great reason for your idol Burt TO PUNCH HER. Also fact is Burt admitting to being a pain killer addict, likely opioids… so Judy Carne: no proof she was ever an addict, Burt your idol, admits it. He also didn't' pay his taxes, and had to declare bankruptcy. That's your idol. Don't make stuff up, doesn't make you seem too bright... come with facts.

Mike, first thanks for taking the bait. My only question is when you refer to me as "FARTrating", is that your best "A" comedy material, or was that simply some "test material", and you're saving the really good material for later?

I don't think I've ever seen this guy that I didn't think he was a looser/no body. 'Seems fake and always tried to be more than he was, tried to take more than his share

It was his abusive, bona fide attitude that destroyed his career & with his immense fame he took advantage of that golden moment & lost respect. As an actor aside from that one movie, his career was silly action movies that perhaps sold well. He was his own worst enemy & he self destructed & lost Hollywood respect. A nasty loveless marriage ending in a nasty divorce & drug addiction was the final nail in the coffin. Unlike his peers such as Clint Eastwood, he never had the talent to re invent himself. Perhaps attitude issues made him unpopular

Carson _was_ a vicious, horrific & violent mean-drunk.
Jonathan / “Johnny” was also a selfish & self-seeking loner who was prone to rampant paranoia & blacked-out bouts of creepy “Peeping Tom”-related activities. A ‘comedic tv genius’ or not, this man was dangerous & sick as all get out.
