It might also be a head seamstress. Since Virginie was a seamstress for 30 years at Chanel. It might be Christine Mendy, who worked for Karl at Chloe and then was brought to Chanel.

Although she had so many years, being Karl's right hand, learning and growing, she failed. Due to the fact that she has no creative designer DNA in herself, going through the archives and half-butt copying old styles only can take you that far... Karl had vision and creative ambition and talent and fire. She was like a school girl that's lost without her books. Her collections were mostly painful to watch, tbh. Galliano would be absolutely heaven-sent for Chanel.

I hope it is Phoebe Philo but something tells me it might be Marc Jacobs to bring back the 90s/00s vibe but MJ is truly an insane addict so he might be too risky. I have two quilted Marc Jacob bags that are VERY Chanel-like from 2012 & 2013 and have the same double stitch quilting as the Stam bag.
I believe that’s what dacob said recently too about MJ in relation to some odd antics at the met gala..

It would be so funny if Chanel would hire the person who has been duping them 😅 I think Chanel should search very hard for the right creative designer to revive Chanel altogether especially their bags Chanel customers are complaining about the quality of the bags and the lack of creativity in the design department I wish Chanel would make the right decisions since I’m a big fan and a customer of Chanel since the early 2000’s and I didn’t give up on the brand
