I live 10 minutes away from dreamworld, I live on the Gold Coast and my fav ride is gold coaster. It’s really fun at dreamworld

Honestly, the gold coaster is better than the claw, it's just so much more balanced. It is so smooth, it's just awesome, but taipan just destroys the competition
Yea I did find it hard choosing between the two however I totally agree that Taipan is by far the best
I’m my opinion. Most of the joy I get from the gold coaster is the bumping lol😅

Tbh they took out the best rides which was buzz saw and tower of terror

Movie World is way better
I went to both for my birthday because i had time I recommend movie world for fun and dizzy rides like the joker its just like steel Taipen. For dream world the rides are way more scary. So just choose. Movie world has less rides then dream world but movie world is great for rides and adventure.
@@chocolover4307 yeah I chose dream world solely because it was more intense and scary I went on my first roller coasters there / the steel taipan and damn near shat myself it was very scary and since I'm skinny it felt like I was gonna fall out

Honestly, the tail spin is kind of lame. I really wanted to go on the shockwave but i was too scared so i first went on the tail spin because for some reason it looked less scary altough it was higher. But trust me all it is is going up and down, you can feel literally nothing since you are very high. Its also suitable for littld kids. But it might be more fun if you turn it upsidedown. Whereas the shockwave is kind of like a roller coaster and it doesnt make you dizzy at all. My sister has a bit of motion sickness she still enjoyed it. I havent gone on any other rides because im a coward, i want to try the motor one or escape from madagascar but they were both closed which is kind of dissapointing since i just came for the first time in 6 years. But its fine since im in brisbane

@@sadcat12 Well, it's not really lame if you go upside down, but to be honest even though it looks scary it doesn't feel like anything because it moves really slow compared to other rides. It depends on the person I guess, but it just doesn't have much action.

I haven't been to dreamworld in a while and I only live up the road. I have never heard anyone call it the gold coaster but of course i haven't been there for awhile and many people around Australia refer to it as the cyclone as it was originally called that before the name change around 10 years ago where the changed it to the hot wheels coaster but it was originally named that. I'm going to my first theme park since the dreamworld accident tommorow, its been so long.
I mean its a pretty fun ride, SURE they should retract that middle section but go in with the right attitude and its a great ride!
Just found out today that the name was changed to the Gold coaster. I never heard that the name change occurred lol

Believe me, Dreamworld is not the park it makes out. It has lost its soul through bad management. A lot of good family and fun rides have gone. The new train is so pathetic you can walk faster. If you get cheap tickets go, but if not, it is a very average theme park with rides always under maintenance and long queue s. But the staff are friendly. As of writing this the giant drop is closed and its school holidays.
