A great park that is doing well in rising above the previous management's errors. Glad you guys enjoyed it! Shame about the backwards seats on Steel Taipan though. Craziest Roller Coaster experience I've ever done. Worth a return trip, for sure!
I'm forever grateful the theme park is finally profiting! I was a bit worried it was going to shut down there for a while .... but old DW is flourishing!
You'll definitely have to come back to Dreamworld and see it after all the changes! Dreamworld are undergoing a major renovation and park upgrade which will be spaced out over the next couple of years. There will be new themed areas and rides, including: 1 : Introducing the Dreamworld Flyer. Wave Swinger Attraction which will open in 2023. 2 : Introducing Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland, replacing the Dreamworks Experience. Including Kenny’s Forest Flyer, Play School and ABC kids moving to become part of Dreamlands. 3 : Wiggles World upgrades are on the way with the Big Red Boat Roller Coaster, and a Plane Ride, opening late 2023. 4: Themed Ocean Splashpad will be installed near what is now known as Land of Awesomeness. Bumper Cars will also be rethemed to become part of ocean parade. 5: Tiger Island getting a million dollar upgrade. 6: Rivertown is back! The existing ABC kids area will be returned to Rivertown. 7: Rivertown will contain a newly rethemed Vintage Cars adventure called “Murisippi Motors” and a new family coaster called “Jungle Rush”, opening late 2024.
Personally, I am so excited for Dreamworlds updates! It feels like they're bringing back the old Dreamworld (that I grew up with, and fondly remember and love) I can't wait to see it all once it is done, not just for the rides, but the new (yet original) theaming and overall feel of the park in general. Especially Rivertown!
I'm glad that you both enjoyed Dreamworld. You were right in saying that there was a steam boat that used to do a circuit of the island. There was a themed show along the way where a bush ranger tried to hold up the boat, complete with shoot out. This park borrowed heavily from Disney. I only wish that you got to experience the Eureka Mountain Mine Train ride that was an opening day attraction. You sat in a very small mine cart and the ride was modified in-house so they transitions were mad! I miss that ride so much. And Tower of Terror! Giant Drop is very forceful. You need to come back sometime.
Catching up on some vlogs that I've missed. Loved watching this one. Looks a great family park and large well kept areas for the animals etc. The koala photo was brill x
It's just a park that's been face with so much tragedy, was almost destroyed by bad management. Dreamworlds name has gone through so much, and has worked so hard to rebuild and gain back public trust. Greg Young has really turned the park around, great choice to steal him off Village after he was the guy behind DC Rivals. Every Dreamworld announcement just gets me so excited, I really hope this park will be strong once again.
I'm glad Dreamworld recognises the significance the tower has. It's a real shame they couldn't get a company to do a new version and keep it considering how iconic the coaster was.
I'm truly gutted for you Shawn. You are the one enthusiast I know of that would've truly embraced Tower of Terror 2 given your clear and utter fondness of SUPERMAN: Escape From Krypton. I feel certain this version would've blown your mind and would've found a place in your top five maybe even number 1. Everyone I know who's ridden both agree Terror was the clear winner in terms of intensity and thrill. It was that tube brother, it changed the whole feel of the ride. You would've loved that ride brother.
its cool you got to see dreamworld before it gets fully redone in about 5 years its going to be awesome again its going to look so great when you come back! they got good merch at dw imo
So glad you enjoyed dreamworld, the flying theatre is absolutely tlmy favourite and Gold coaster is very underrated! It's a great right just a tad rough but manageable
yes you were right that spot was where the rollercoaster took off from, they did have a paddle steam boat going around the river as you guessed.. alot of fun rides have been taken away over the years, including another coaster the Thunderbolt with its Double Loop.. Nice Vlog. love your work.
Finally some one agrees with me that gold coaster is good lol, lots of my friends hate it and say it is way to rough but I’ve never noticed it and genuinely enjoyed the ride. Steel taipan I did have a Better ride on thus I ranked it much higher then the gold coaster, granted it was a warm sunny day and I got to ride wail whip. Overall great review and glad you enjoyed dream world!
Hey you pair … loving the tour down under !! Dreamworld is great and going from strength to strength !!It was known as the thrill park but loads of rides have gone sadly … the spiral building used to be themed as a whirlwind and was filled with storm and lightning effects in as the Gold Coaster was called Cyclone before it was Hotwheels !! Koala cuddle was gorgeous
Sad you missed the rear spinning seat for Steel Taipan as it is freaking good. Also regarding Gold Coaster. When it first opened at Dreamworld it was called Cyclone and the spiral queue line was like that cause……cyclone. In the middle of the spiral shaft was a massive wind generating machine that malfunctioned and created a rogue cyclone that you are evacuating from and get caught in during the ride.
I'm so glad you both got to enjoy Sky Voyager and especially Steel Taipan. I'm also surprised that you didn't seem to find the Gold Coaster a little bit rough. I do also love it, but found it a little bit rough.
Excellent video Shawn and Charlotte from Dreamworld located on the Gold Coast in Australia! In this vlog, we experience everything that this fantastic theme park has to offer including on-ride footage from Steel Taipan, a triple-launch roller coaster built by Mack Rides! Along with that, we share our thoughts on the rest of the park, check out the work taking place on The Giant Drop, and much more! I can't write to see the next video on the channel, from the trip, keep the good videos coming on the channel both of you., and big thumbs as well too. 😀
Was just having a look at that drop tower when it still had the coaster attached to it. From Povs it looked pretty immense, looked like a brilliant backwards launch coaster! Definitely was a Tower of Terror (2!)
Sooo jealous holding a Koala ! Also the white Tiger so pretty! That motor bike ride did look super uncomfortable. Worst I been on was Gringotts at Universal Florida . The leg braces bruised my legs major . Loved the POV of Taipan :) The water version of it looked very wet hahah
I'm sure the Aussies are liking the rain like the Spaniards last February. It was sunny and going from freezing to around 50F most days. My birthday hit, and then rain decided to show up
Hearing about Australia hosting a games is news to me. We have Paris next year and LA in 2028. I know LA is trying to beef up their transport after being a car dependent hellscape for many years, not so much with the parks although the new Universal Hollywood coaster and the proposed improvements to the Disneyland Resort were a good start. Maybe Magic Mountain will finally get a giga? Who knows if Six Flags will even exist as we know it by then
I feel bad for laughing but..... Charlotte's face in the rain on Taipan.... looked like she was loving it! You can't escape water rides for ever, not even the coasters are safe!
Gold Coaster's been running great the last year or so! I did a zen night ride recently and it was a great experience. You can see DC Rivals from up there!
Hi shawn and Charlotte Wow this is amazing loving the content. My goodness that rain on the 1st coaster. Love love the koala cuddle so cute I would have definitely done that . Casserole 😂😂😂cassorary lol had me in stitches. Great vlog guys loving this trip thanks for sharing with us. Love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
Looks a great park you poor things on the roller coaster in the rain more like a water log thank goodness the sun came out later on to dry you off how adorable was the picture with that cutie koala 🐨 with you both keep enjoying your time in Australia amazing beautiful country.
With the 2032 Brisbane Olympics coming up, the parks have a pipeline of major investments to capitalise on the huge influx of tourists that event will generate. It’s an exciting time to be a theme park enthusiast in Australia!
So glad you’re going to Sydney. I recommend the aquarium there. It has one of two dugongs in the whole world kept in captivity. He’s a lovely Dugong called “Pig” because he eats so much lettuce. They tried to put him back in the wild a few times but he didn’t handle it so now he stays at the aquarium.
Fyi the entire ABC kids world is closing with the vintage cars relocating and a new Vekoma family coaster similar to what Dollywood is building now in a new themed area called Rivertown. ($35 million dollars which is more expensive than Steel Tipain so expect lots of theming. This will see ABC kids world area fully removed and most likely the Tower of Terror station removed.) With ABC kids rides moving into Dreamworks area. The Kungfu panda area will be merged into Ocean Parade. And the remaining Abc kids world will become Dream Land which will house some ABC kids rides themes as well with a new powered kids coaster themed to big red car. Plus the wave swinger coming to the main pond by the entrance. All to be done between now and end of 2024.
Looks a really nice park. I love the bush with a human head at 17.57 btw. Poor Charlotte on that coaster in the rain. She looked soaked. As for the flying theatre having an airport theme. I guess you were right about that because the guy in front of you took his luggage on it with him.
Absolutely loving the content @themeparkworldwide - thank you so much for taking us with you, it really feels like we are there (even on the sofa in the UK). The birds that you keep seeing, with the long black bills, are actually Australian White Ibis! They are referred to as a “bin chicken” in Australia though 😂
That Steel Tiapan coaster looked awesome. Charlotte’s face in the pouring rain was a real picture you both must have got a soaking. Didn’t think much to those harness seats on that the motorcycles. Great vlog nevertheless guys😉👍
Glad to see you appreciating the animals also be glad you've never seen a taipan they're nervous but extremely dangerous snakes. Gold coaster looks awesome I love me an arrow coaster
Another great one guys I'm sorry Shawn I could not stop laughing when I saw your glasses you need wipers fitting my love I'm glad it cleared up for you live it all looks fab enjoy guys will be watching tomorrow lived the koalas and a great photo of you both xx
Such a shame that they removed Tower of Terror... I'd take that over a Blue Fire near-clone, although if the parts keep Superman at Magic Mountain going longer then I guess I'm ok with it. Glad you had issues with the moto coaster though... I did too and I'm pleased it wasn't just me!
Visited here, back in 2015, the Giant drop is awesome, as was the tower of terror, free fall coaster, that was attached to it, such a shame they had to remove it. Loved your reactions on Steel Taipan, ha.
Apocalypse was only a fraction of the size of Giant Drop so its possible Maelstrom might be perceived as bigger as there's only 1-2 other big/tall rides at the park now where Dreamworld still has a decent mix of family and thrill rides
Awesome footage of the rides, Im not a coaster fan but i do like the footage of others on them 😂 Enjoying your vlogs on both channels, sad to hear your not a dog fan 😢 you really don’t know what you’re missing! 🙂🏴
Another great & good vlog, really enjoyed and always look forward to your next adventure. Going to in a minute watch Warner Bro's Theme Park vlog as haven't watched that yet? Have watched Scooby Doo one, but not yet main park, about Spooky Island. Be good as a water park & theme park on its own somewhere? Please if there is a theme park amusement park developer reading? Please create a water park / theme park resort around Spooky Island. Think it would be epic to visit to aswell enjoy, especially a fictional Spooky Island theme park, featuring some of attractions in the movie aswell original & new ones out of various ride & coaster types. Be epic especially for all thrill seekers & Scooby Doo 2002 movie fans. But back to this video, really enjoyed. Felt a bit sorry for Charlotte on coaster getting rain in her face especially with how she was trying to enjoy coaster while rain hitting her face, but overall a good onride clip. Wish it had been in the sun instead, but maybe next time if visit again? Not happy with steam train as a diesel engine & prefer that either be electric engine with steam engine sounds or a real steam engine as it looks like a steam engine. Diesel just doesn't suit it in my opinion, but good to see a train ride at this park, Suspended coaster was remembering there was once a plan via an architect to place a coaster with similar layout in Dreamland Margate park before what it is now, think a Suspended Swinging Non Upside Down Coaster be a good addition at Dreamland in Margate, Kent UK. But different layout, bigger, immersive theming and themed trains. Maybe a brake room & room to run a few trains on it. Have suggested ride ideas to Dreamland Margate, but well see what happens in future with that? But nice vlog, really enjoyed, got a good selection of attractions, rides and coasters here, would love to see another vlog from here in long future? Maybe & hopefully see more coasters with videos of POV's? But again have to see, cheers. 😀👍 By the way, did you ever go and check out Rosie the Shark? Have you heard about this? Seen video of this on UA-cam? Could be worth a visit one day in future? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
A great park that is doing well in rising above the previous management's errors. Glad you guys enjoyed it! Shame about the backwards seats on Steel Taipan though. Craziest Roller Coaster experience I've ever done. Worth a return trip, for sure!

We look forward to seeing the new updates in the future!
Omg Charlotte's poor face during that first coaster in the rain, she's an absolute trooper!!
I went on Kobra at Chessington in the pouring rain and that was bad enough, so i can't imagine how painful it must have been for them both
So funny 😭😭😫
You’re right, The Gold Coaster is such a great coaster. Absolute love it. The reason for the spiral ramp is the theme was originally the cyclone.
It’s a brilliant ride!
That's what I was thinking. When was it hot wheels I always knew it as the cyclone
You'll definitely have to come back to Dreamworld and see it after all the changes!

charlottes face on the first roller coaster in the rain is priceless 😂😂😂😂😂

What’s that a southern casserole” 😂 😆 couldn’t breathe 😆 Shawn lol
😂
Charlotte on the coaster in the rain is hilarious. She always ends up drenched on your videos! Charlotte, you're a star !
the Kung Fu Panda area will be an expansion for Ocean Parade where Pandamonium will be renamed Serpent Slayer and fully refurbished as well :)
Yes!! Hands up an ALL coasters!!
My favourite series on UA-cam. Everyday treats. For all 😊
Thank you!
Charlotte was so funny in that Steel Taipan rider cam. Brilliant!!
Thank you!
That rainy ride footage on Steel Taipan was a riot

Great looking park! Used to love Bananas in pajamas haha
How lucky was that Koala giving Charlotte a hug 🤗
I absolutely love the "Gold Coaster"
Same but steel taipan is my favourite
I love the respect they treat animals with ❤️
So glad you enjoyed dreamworld, the flying theatre is absolutely tlmy favourite and Gold coaster is very underrated! It's a great right just a tad rough but manageable
It’s such a great ride!
Charlotte you should surprise Shawn with t-shirts for the Moto Coaster and one for a Zamperla Voltare...only if they're free though. 😂
What a way to start the morning.. 2 videos to drink my coffee with! 🦘
Thanks for joining us!

The highlight of this vlog for me was Charlotte holding a Koala Bear.
Absolutely beautiful animals they are.
And the park looks very nice too.
Such a beautiful moment!
Oh my got, Charlotte your face on Steel Taipan in the rain 🤣 I couldn’t help laughing at you, you poor thing 😀
You always make my day thank you so much
That’s great to hear!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for the long form content, LOVE relaxing to these! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!
0oo, that Steel Taipan had me yelling at the screen "Hold on Charlotte, hold on!"
You’re right - there did used to be a paddle steamer on that river.
It was around at the opening in 1981 and was only removed recently.
I absolutely love this video!!
Great vlog! Dreamworld is very similar to Disneyland but with cool rides!
I'm so glad you both got to enjoy Sky Voyager and especially Steel Taipan. I'm also surprised that you didn't seem to find the Gold Coaster a little bit rough. I do also love it, but found it a little bit rough.

Was just having a look at that drop tower when it still had the coaster attached to it. From Povs it looked pretty immense, looked like a brilliant backwards launch coaster! Definitely was a Tower of Terror (2!)
As a local it was indeed a fantastic ride and is missed!
Hi, from the UK, the tower of terror 2 was a great ride, shame they had to remove it!
It looked epic!
Coaster in the rain got me laughing so much 🤣, I've done Nemesis in the rain and that hurt our faces. We were calling it Nemesis extreme lol
Best place in the Gold Coast!
It was great meeting you guys here, glad you enjoyed the park !
It was great to see you!
I'm sure the Aussies are liking the rain like the Spaniards last February. It was sunny and going from freezing to around 50F most days. My birthday hit, and then rain decided to show up
Just looked a few mins ago and was a bit gutted no new vid yet, but then minutes later here we are 🎉
Enjoy!
hey Sean from theme park worldwide rob the videos keep the work up
Wet wet wet but not quite how we all want ! Enjoy guys. 😎
Awesome video as always

i went on it two days ago and i honestly felt like i was about to die🥲
@@bradymartin9055 agreed. It’s an abomination with wonky track geometry and the roughest transitions. It’s only redeeming element is the final loop.
Amazing ride!
@@coasterblocks3420 the final loop pushes my entire head down and the jolt on the exit makes my head hurt
I visited this park in 1996, there were no coasters, but what I do remember is a tiger show. Thanks for the awesome stream. Keep them coming. 🙂
Thanks for watching Paul!
Charlotte looked terrified on that first coaster! Xxx
Bravo to Charlotte on Steel taipan that rain looked heavy!
It certainly looks an exciting park, even though the Tower Of Terror II is no longer there.
Love watching these videos of the Gold Coast. Make sure you go for dinner at The Loose Moose - Broadbeach, a favourite of mine when we’re there.
Thanks for watching!

wow, Steel Taipan looks epic. maybe not in the rain though lol
Fun fact Shawn the 'fierce snake' (worlds most venomous) you saw in your Australia zoo video at 35:53, is an inland taipan, hence Steel Taipan

By the way, did you ever go and check out Rosie the Shark? Have you heard about this? Seen video of this on UA-cam? Could be worth a visit one day in future? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
