Our local Grocery Market just throws the the fat away so every so often. The butcher will sees me and my parents and asks if we want the fat for free. Usually when we go shopping once a month. He knows us because we always use to ask him for it. But now he just says i got some fat for you. When he sees us.
The best thing about it is you can svae the oil it produces and make things with it later.
And that oil will enhance the taste of everything you cook

you should use a fry daddy! it has a lid. take the skin off deep fry it. drop it in easy put the lid on quick & step back.when it quits popping it almost done..just watch it until it is brown enough for you. please , please use the lid.....

No, it does not fit the definition of chicharrón.
Chicharrónes MUST HAVE THE SKIN and small layer of meat intact for it to be called Chicharrónes. That's literally the definition of Chicharrón.
In the video it's literally just fat, a tiny bit of meat, but zero amount of skin.
It's very crispy when it fried. 😏
My Version is way better then this :)
Marinate it with salt first so the Fats comes out fatster (see what i did there)
Crush some garlic cloves and dont remove the peel
as the pork fat renders and the oil is out throw in the garlic until the garlic turns brown.
and your done :) get some rice and spicy vinegar and prepare to have a heart attack lol
