My grandmother comes down from Michigan for their bird week and she loves it. It's cool they had a list of all the types and sightings
There were a lot of folks from up north visiting the warbler migration. It was a great time and experience

The Merlin App is awesome. We like to try to call in Cardinals. One hovered over my husband's head in SW Missouri. It was so cool. Great video!

We just snagged a site at Maumee Bay for 2 night on our return trip from Michigan. Looks like an awesome place, really nice visitor center.

I have always wanted to do some birding but never really tried getting into it so far. I love seeing cardinals - they are probably my favorites. I don't think I have ever seen orioles in person. Unless you count the baseball team - we have been to a few of their games in person in Baltimore. Thanks for taking us along as you learn to be real bird watchers!
It’s a fun hobby. We are for sure amateurs. Appreciate you watching and the Cardinal is our State bird.

Hi Chuck and Cherie, If you think the Heron is a big bird, the Crane is huge. We saw them migrating for the first time in Decatur, AL and people come to see these birds every year. Wow, we saw about 30 or 40 and they we so beautiful. We were just passing through on our way to Florida and got to see them.
Cranes are big birds. Cherie is scared of them both 😂.
Again love your content, we went to Maumee Bay last July it is one of our favorites too, the Merlin app is great for bird identification. Enjoy, we're off to Buck creek this weekend, keep camping .

My favorite bird is chicken, grouse, ducks, geese and pheasant.

Don’t encourage her 😂. The bird feeder is good entertainment and the Vevor makes a nice place inside to cook in the rain.
Another great video. BTW, I can't remember if I mentioned it before. Great intro! Maumee Bay is a great park. It looked like it was nicer than your inaugural trip with Roalin'. I really need to be a groupie and hit all your recommendations. I have gone past Netty's several times to KI ferry and the lighthouse but never stopped by. Maybe Wednesday or Friday or more likely next month. First tent camping island trip coming up!

This is my first time viewing you two. I like your interaction and funnest, if that's a word. Just an FYI, go inside Tony Packos. it's really neat inside. there are hundreds of signed hot dog buns. All kinds of celebrities have signed them. Even our Presidents. Try the pigs-in-a-blanket if you ever go back. you can also get a full size dog called the MOAD. Mother of All Dogs.

Chuck, they use to make a fishing lure that looked like a bird. I forget if it was a redwing blackbird lure or what, but BIG BASS liked to slam them on the surface……just sayin’
I’ve seen the baby duck lure and it work well for pike/musky. I bet a huge Bass would like to feast on that as well

I’m local to the area, just camped at Maumee bay this weekend.. but for the life of me I never understand why people suggest packos (pack-oh’s) their fried pickles & paprikash are good but the dogs are just mediocre. I guess because it was made popular by M*A*S*H.
It wasn’t horrible but definitely overrated. I with you on the MASH reference
I think if I ordered a hot dog anywhere and got one cut in half... that transaction would come to a screeching halt. 🤷♂️🤦♂️

It’s ok, we’ve been this way for well over 25 years. We just have fun, poke fun, and enjoy the heck out of each others company and wouldn’t want it any other way.
