  • It was once called the Lost Cemetery, but when it was found, all sorts of bad things began to happen to those who did not respect the ones buried within. Find out more about the Witch’s Grave deep in the forest of West Branch State Park in Ohio.
I hope you enjoyed this video from BackRoads Books by 21 Crows. You can find this story, Witch’s Grave at Lost Cemetery, and GPS to find it in the book Ohio Ghost Stories and Spooky Legends: The Classics by Jannette Quackenbush www.amazon.com...

We have been looking for this thing for two days. We could be really bad at looking, but I would really appreciate it if you could contact us and give us some more instructions on how to find the witch’s grave.

Haha. I only laugh because I have done it a hundred times and get the frustration. I just went back to add it to another book (Haunted Ohio Hiking Trails), so here are the directions directly from the newest book: "Hikers explore the Elliott homestead, cemetery, and the area of legends of a witch’s grave and a curse. Hikers park along Cable Line Road near the gate (41.130578, -81.121123). Do not block the entrance. Take the second marked trail to the right, D Loop Trail, which quickly intersects Machine Trail. At the junction of these two trails, if you go straight (D Loop) about 30 steps, you will see the location of the Elliott House to the left. This is one area with the stacked rocks that some believe is the Witch Grave. Watch for stinging nettle! Return to the latter intersection and turn left to follow Machine Loop Trail around the old property and the cemetery. Turn left on Yellow Trail. Once back on the road (looped), turn left and walk to the top of the small hill on the roadway, and there is a trail (41.129167, -81.126700) to the left leading to the old cemetery (41.129817, -81.127267)."
You can also get the directions for this one and other haunted trails on: www.amazon.com/Haunted-Hiking-Trails-Ghost-Stories/dp/B0CHL9FLXK

I just stumbled across this video.I grew up at the Elluott Lake Club until we were forced to move because of the building of the dam and state park.My grandpa and Mr.Evans always took care of the graves,so sad to see it like this. This was our land.

I just finished a haunted hikes book and it just tore me apart while researching for it how much land the government gobbled up at the time. Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina . . .I've had it happen to family members and I read the stories of folks in the Smokys while writing the book that had their land taken from them (Cades Cove, Roaring Forks) and I had a real hard time walking into the cabins that the parks kept there because I felt this horrible feeling I was trespassing. There was no stopping them.

@@LoneGhostWriter And the 3 TVA lakes of N GA as well. They flooded massive ancient native towns in the river valleys without research (not Cherokee).

So sad.Looks like people either stole the tombstones or vandalized them.

They were vandalized in the 1970s. I believe I read that at least one tombstone was saved and is kept safe by the park. In my book, I have a picture of what it looked like when a local club cleaned it up years ago.

Its a shame to see this in this condition, but if you could get me the coordinated to the cemetery, that would be great

I would be curious if a psychic or dowser could be brought in and give their take on the site.
