  • Do you have trouble knowing what to say or talk about with a girl? Knowing what to say in conversations with women you like is a common struggle for many men. In this video, Brian interviews Anthony about the concept of being proactive vs. being reactive especially when you are out meeting women. You'll hear how Anthony was able to get himself out of a reactive place when he found himself not being able to find words when there was an attractive woman next to him.

    This is 100% true and its so weird how I was only thinking about this the other day. Alot of my interactions with girls where I have felt that I 'needed' to say or do something, it has never amounted to much. However those moments where I became 'real' with myself and others around me, that's when I saw results! Be natural, be present - live for the moment!

    That's a hot story. Very tense.
    But what resonated heavily with me was the refusal to speak reactionary. Creates so much more presence and a backseat kinda control. Dope stuff

    He said there’s no technique, but a technique I use is just bringing the awareness to my heart and feel like transmuting the energy from your brain to your body. That’s what I do and it works for me. Feels like a form of meditation actually. Love this video btw

    Hey Anthony - what's awesome about the video is not only that I connected with it and learned from it as a student, but the awesome thing is that what you described about what you did and how the girl(s) responded is so similar to what happened on the evening I met a girl who turned out to be a soulmate for me a year ago. Reactive impulses came up, but I managed to resist them and avoid making actions I sensed would be more like "forcing" rather than "allowing" things to happen. And my brief conversation with that total stranger (a beautiful one for sure) ended in me with a genuine, content smile, about to end the conversation and continue on my way to dinner...when the girl suddenly stopped me from turning to leave by saying, "So can I have your phone number?" Amazing!

    What Im getting from this; I can see the disability; I mean, concerning talking to someone or talking to women! and this is me! Im exactly like this and I have to relearn how to deal with a new person in front of me! If I know someone for a few months; I can relax! I dont have a few months! Im a great person; but because of this shyness and not responding at some point; and freeze up; I never get started! So; Im now learning about " up close".

    I like the idea of less is more. When talking to a girl I over analyze everything and try to think of something to say when the conversation stops. I think that when the conversation stops she will become bored and not interested. I’m going to try just being happy and relaxed no matter the speed of the conversation. Maybe there is some truth in the idea that to get something you need to be happy without it.

    Anthony, when you sit by yourself do you occupy you mind with anything? Because I sit by myself a lot during lunch, probably 99% of the time, and I don't feel sad or depressed or anything . I'm used to it, but I am always on my laptop watching videos or movies. is it good or bad? Should I feel the food in my mouth, its taste, and how my body feels instead?

    Hi Anthony
    I really enjoyed the video and kind of relate to the persona you seem to give off. The shy guy.
    Unfortunately, with that, I have extreme difficulty speaking to woman.
    You spoke a lot about how you are able to ground yourself, and allow the reactive thoughts to just go by.
    How did you deal with learning how to speak to women in the moments when grounded enough, you felt you wanted to?
    For more clarity, I have a fear of not knowing what to say in a conversation, and running out of things to say. This has happened to me in the past. Have you experiences this, and if so, how have you dealt with it?

    • @alexj1897
      @alexj1897 5 років тому +2

      One word - practice. "Repetition is the mother of skill." How else does a man get good at a video game or anything else that he masters?
      Go talk to a woman, even though doing so is filled with tension for you - and then after the interaction, go over in your mind the things you did successfully as well as the things you'd like to do differently next time. There's no substitute for just simply continuing to have interactions with new women. And reflecting afterwards is vital; also important after the interaction - "talking to yourself" in a private setting to develop your style of expressing yourself in conversation in a way that feels natural to who you are. These things help you grow.
