My gopro hero 11 stopped working after 1.5 years and I bought the ace pro, my next video will be with the ace pro. I deliberately chose it over the osmo action 4 because I think the low light/HDR is superior than any other cameras in the market
That's frustrating about the GoPro but awesome you're trying out the Insta ace pro. It's a tough one for me as I do really love the DJI but let me know what you think of it?
I returned the DJI Action because it is inferior but loved it - the biggie was 3.5 minute video clips that need to be glued together. I want a full 10 or 15 minute video without any post-editing. I know a lot of people enjoy editing but I'm an old man and don't have time for that nonsense - maybe I'll play with some of the editing features Insta360 has because they're not that complex and I really would like some Garmin data on my videos. The main issue in my case is I don't own a PC and only a tablet which has limited memory and the DJI sucked up all the space, the Insta360 doesn't - its very polite. After I get the video I want I pop it on UA-cam and delete it from my device so that's really all I care about. Frankly, I'm glad I got the Ace Pro - an Ace Pro 2 would be better but as I would never use most of the features the difference is in the microphone but a $12 WindSlayer solves the noise issues
The dodgy streak of light captured on our lens is caused by refraction. The protective lens cover acts a bit like a mirror inside so its not seeing outside light but reflected light between the lens and the lens cover which is then picked up by the optical sensor. I think popping on a clip-on UV haze filter or any filter like a polarization or neutral density will remove it - but I haven't tested that yet as I need to buy them. However I am an engineer, worked at Zeiss medical optical in San Leandro, CA and believe a polarization filter will solve this.
@@JayHurstMtb Sure. It's a fair assessment. An anti-glare finish on the inside of the lens cover should solve this. In the meantime, a PL filter should do.
want to replace my gopro9. long looking for insta360x4. but it is not that good. your dji video looks better than this insta video. im gonna wait for dji osmo action 5
The DJI Osmo is great for action camera for pov, I love it. Super excited to see what DJI does for the Osmo 5. Insta have some great cameras and there benefit is having the ability for other angles with the 360 stuff but I know that’s not for everyone
Looking at the footage, what’s your thoughts on the Insta Camera?
good
I think the DJI osmo 5 pro is better

I think your video helped me to make the decision on my next action cam. I think I will go with Ace Pro to get more ”all-around” camera.

Oh cool, I can tell you have the knowledge on it! That would be a quick easy fix too, thanks 🤘🏻
