Excellent viewing. Collectively, as citizens and taxpayers, it is our right to demand fairness transparency, and accountability for council tax as.
Having been in dispute with a local council for almost 7 years - where a 'one year' council tax reduction I was entitled to, and awarded, was subsequently reduced to 'three months' by deception and malevolence in the deliberate withholding of information by a civil servant at the council. Important information I had a right to know, that would have been easy for me to obtain and protected my one year reduction and, I believe, was deliberately denied to me.
They assume most people lack the ability and know how to make legal challenges and cases against them for wrongdoing and therefore assume they can get away with appalling mal-administration whilst being held accountable for their actions by no one.
I had almost given up after trying the council's complaints processes, Valuation Tribunal, Ombudsman, MP, Citizens Advice. You've provided me with a lifeline since I've been wronged (and harmed) by their despicable treatment and unaccountable inaction. Thanks for all that you do. Much like the post office scandal, I believe the council tax system is rotten, corrupt and no longer fit for purpose.
Non of this means people don't have to pay though. It is still a legal obligation.
If you are classifying yourself as a citizen which is another name for slave and a taxpayer it's no wonder you've been in dispute with the council for 7 years.

This is very important information people need to be able to fight back with, I thank you both for it and your hard work putting it together. I like comedy but not so when there is a subject that is so important. I found it hard going with all the comedy interruptions, in a subject that is so serious, It deviates ones mind away from the points,
A corporation is not necessarily for-profit. It's simply an entity that has a legal personality (i.e. subject to legal rights and duties)
People need to look at the uk gov website it states no council tax on a private Dwelling… which is your right for a roof over your head…

Back in 2020 I was at a protest in Nottingham and this couple started telling me they pay no utility bills or council tax and hadn't done for years, saying they had a camera up and just didn't answer the door. When questioning the wife further, she was stuck and didn't know what to say. Then suddenly they were shooting off because of their car parking ticket 😂🤣😂. Worried about a parking fine but are living for free, (even though they both worked full time). What a load of old tosh 🤣

April 1st is actually New Years day ...there were/are 13 months and each with 28 bar Feb 29th. Wish we could go back to the Julien calendar.

Julian calendar new years day was actually 25th March, ie the day Jesus Christ was conceived was classed as the start of anno domini (9 months before 25th December). When 11 days were missed out in September 1752 to synchronize the calendar and the Earth's orbit, new years day was changed to 1st January, that's why the financial new year is 6th April (25th March plus the days missed in September 1752. They then cancelled all leap year days at the end of each century, 1800 AD, 1900AD , but not century years divisible by 400 like 2000 AD, 2400 AD etc in order that the calendar and Earth's orbit would stay the same. So no 29th February in 2100 AD 2200 AD and 2300 AD etc.
And THAT is why the called it 'April Fools Day'

Part of our council tax bill goes to non -adult social care . Adult social care precept? Over £1300 out of our bill. Why are we paying for this.

I watched this video Richard with interest. It seems the more this topic is aired with backed up legal legislation the more familiar people are with the process which slowly takes out the fear. This is an illegal tax - imagine the Corporations refunding years and years of unlawful Council Tax back to the residents!!! We are now armed with this but I suppose the reality is when they come knocking on your door with threatening menaces and as you experienced very intimidating. Who do we turn to - certainly not the Police as they are in on it. Its at this point where we need support and there is none. This is where we are vulnerable. Maybe an enactment by yourself and support teams could play this out for us to watch.

Section 79 to 80 of the Local Government Act 1888 was repealed in their entirety by the Local Government Act 1933 (c.51Schedule 11 Part 111 and the London Government Act 1939 (c. 40 Schedule 8)
Though them missing this point is a good call, and really important to show people to do their own research, your comment is not entirely correct. S.79(1) and s.80 were repealed. S.79(2) and (3) are still in force.
This doesn't negate the fact that these councils are still registered as businesses on Dun & Bradstreet. Repealing something that has already happened doesn't have any effect, because all the councils were already incorporated. Just like the repeal of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act has no effect on the trade itself, which didn't suddenly restart on the repeal, because though it had already been abolished, it didn't also make it suddenly legal again. New acts or repeals only have effect from the date of the act or repeal.
What's quite interesting is s.82 of the LGA 1933 and its wording.
Councils can conduct business. This does not mean they are not public bodies, which they are.

You must assert your fundamental and constitutional right to trial by jury "before" the law; where all of this remedy can be tabled in a court of law before a truly impartial judge who will not interfere with a Jury`s determinations founded upon the presented facts and evidence.

Just for a matter of interest,Italy abolished council tax (ICI) some years ago for first home owners as long as you lived in the property. Renter's have never been subject to payment of council tax.

And in return Italian taxpayers pay massively higher rates of tax on income which is then used to fund local services to a greater extent from central government receipts rather than it being collected and funded locally but your average Vobes' viewer won't understand that

I think on the subject of council being a corporation for profit I'm sure that the peacekeepers say differently, yes they are corporations but not like McDonald's ect, so this is another case of who's right, for us average people we need to know 'beyond doubt' because key parts like this make the difference, both Pete and the peacekeepers are basically on the same road but with some variation 🤔
A council is a statutory body first. They are registered on Companies House as a business so that they can do business with contractors etc. They have a D&B no. for credit referencing only, so that potential contractors can check whether they pay their bills or not. They are not a for profit business. Where are the shareholders or directors that take dividends should be the question.

I want contacts in Scotland. I have accommodation and can set up a home office in Edinburgh. Ijistcant pay people to setup a hub but, if we help enough people, I am sure they will donate.

I have been on this road for the last year.
The CEO or others at the 'council' officers listen to nothing and pass it on until you are in court. The magistrates act fraudulently, fact.
Presently there is only one case in the High Court for the liability order. Save those with no money (and so perhaps not worth pursuing), I know of no successful cases. Has Pete any he can talk about where the Council corporation have gone away and licked their wounds?
It will all come tumbling down one day, like the Poll Tax, and doubtless have another process ready to go the next day which will take many years to unravel and then the merigoround will start again. In the meantime, those contesting (especially Richard, because they will make an example of you) need to be prepared for anything they say to fall on deaf ears.

Thank you so so much, best Valentines pressie eva 💕💕 the research and preperation hrs and hrs of work is immensly appreciated, expertly done and easily understood, hopefully if enough people overcome their fear & get on board en mass...it could well be the 'last straw' that breaks the camels(councils) back, I started last yr when I purchased my first hone, sent similar notices, had the fake 'bailiffs' turn up, sent invoices for unauthorised doorstop visit, trespass etc, lol next thing the ceo resignes and disappears, so sent more notices for breach of same acts you listed, because the resignation is admition of guilt & dishonour, withdrew consent so they cannot share my data to 3rd party, that was 6 mths ago🤷..now I just RTS all their 'notices' & letters with Unclaimed written across the envelope..it is after all addressed to the fiction...

@@StudentDad-mc3pu fully agree with that, I was behind a few years ago and they were all over me, even ringing boxing day, early morning visits and I was paying them, they were in the area once a week and used to call, they wouldn't move off my drive once and I sold my car to a friend for a grand and handed it over to them, very, very stressful, a few choice pseudo law sentences won't put them off I'm afraid.

in 2019, 5.4% of all Council Tax was spent on Housing. That includes subsidised Council Housing such as yours. If everyone stopped paying Council Tax, Council Housing rents would need to go up to cover the shortfall.
I would suggest reading the fine print in your contract to be safe, some council/housing associations have been known to put a clause in, and the language used takes some getting used to - it's not English. However, generally speaking, council tax and being a council house/housing association 'resident' are not linked.

Guy's, this is all very well, but what about all the pensioners who risk them making deduction from our limited pension, you need to provide hard fact this would work to make millions of people's lives better and not worse, because if they do it and the council ignore it and contact the DWP to remove money from their poor pensions, so saying "what have you got to loose" is alright for you but could have serious impact on the elderly 😮

If your on pension and have limited savings you'll get pension tax credit and you'll have zero or a lot lower council tax, same with people on benefit, you've got a lot lower amount to pay.
@@roystonvehicles9129 not everyone who is on pension can get pension credit, if you are receiving the max new state pension you can't get it, so trust me, lots of us are expected to pay full CT
The DWP have to have written permission from the person who they want to take it off. I know as some years back they were taking my water bills from income. I called them and they said to me that I could have this stopped. I said that I had not given them permission,so the DWP stopped deductions

I notice the benefit slave act part has been written in such a way as to enable the benefits agency to take benefits claimants to court. yet has left them in such a position as to leave themselves vulnerable to their own rules in the process.

I agree. I wish he would stop wasting time trying to be funny. I'm trying to concentrate on the issues being presented and it keeps getting derailed into silliness, it gets very wearing after a minute or so.

TBH. This interview offers potential advice that could get people into a lot of trouble. To be clear, to be a sovereign entity means you are not encumbered with legal agreements.
Which presumably means a new sovereign birth-cert,deregistration's of all taxes/benefits thus no job and home ? i'm personally facing a section 21 in March (landlord's throwing in the towel) and the DVLA wont let me drive a hgv truck for a living with no fixed abode.I imagine requests for wages in an envelope will not be honoured on request ?
@@earlgrey691 There are two ways to see your current predicament. 1/ A potential disaster if it happens like you believe. 2/ A miraculous life changing occurrence because of unforeseen events. To get option 2 you need to ask the creator for help and then allow God to show you the way. I did. and i have never been richer in my entire life. Especially with freedom of time. . good luck Pal.

I know of a man who got so involved that he took it to far.
He didn't pay his council tax and got away with it for a couple of years, all the time having to avoid the bailiffs.
He then tried the same tactics and stopped his mortgage payments, the bank issued a lien against his house and gave him a court notice .
Whilst he was attending court the bank sent the bailiffs round to his property whilst he was in court.
The bank then repossessed his house , If you think that the government will let you avoid payment then good luck to you.
I don’t want to upset anyone but please be careful before you make any decisions.
The advice you take is up to you, be careful who you believe.
Two things are certain 1 - The two men in this video couldn't care less if any of their followers get in trouble by following their pseudolaw. 2 - The followers of this channel are fanatical in their love for the taxpayer who runs this channel and won't hear a bad word said about him
So this would be a civil complaint against the council
