I really want PHF to be animated along with the manga being stated as officially canon mostly so Fugo can have a proper ending than just not going with his friends in the manga or sensing something was wrong after Narancia died in the anime.

And thats only in part 5 there are more stands who can defeat purple haze in previous and future parts as long as the stand could keep a safe distance or deal a fatal blow first at PH that stand would undoubtedly win
Having Fugo be an enemy that the boss sends after Giorno and them would’ve been so cool but definitely emotional. I can imagine Mista or someone having to kill Fugo in a battle.
I think Giorno was meant to give the final blow... damn that would've been sad
seeing how most likely he was replaced in the story for Chioccolata (you can see the similarities of his stand so probably Araki just toyed with some of the context and details of the "Mold" for the fight he had planned basing it on his ideas for the final battle against Fugo's virus) it's possible the seven page muda was directed towards him.

The number one reason I want PHF to be animated, plus the fact that it's Fugo's redemption arc, is that there would be more scenes of Boss Giorno.
I mean, who wouldn't want to see Don Giovanna in his full glory.

The ending scene with a Dio-esque Giorno reading Fugo like a book would be cool. I always imagined Dio recruiting his henchmen in the same way.

That's what I was thinking trying to adapt a novel into a ova wouldn't work for tv time especially for a novel like phf and it would be the first movie for David production involving jojo so it would be nice and a great way to make some money from jojo and all around a fun golden experience for jojo fans

The novel would turn out much better with the long run time. Plus you don't have to risk the whole noncanon thing since movies can be noncanon.

Everyone always says “Canolo not being the one to actually get them the photo means his involvement in the story can’t happen”. Dude, it’s as simple as this:
Rather than actually getting La Squadra the photo, he simply tells them that it exists, and points them in the direction to go. The anime never specified HOW La Squadra learned about the photo, or about Trish’s existence. Canolo can be behind both of these things, and unlike in the book, where he took an active role in sabotaging the boss for the fun of it, now, he gets the exact same outcome, without even having to lift a finger. That’s less work, to get the same outcome, which fits with Canolo’s characterization perfectly.
The anime added the scene of Risotto finding the burned photo next to Pericolo's corpse in Naples Train Station.

@@Hamon_Beat Canolo also assisted Sorbet and Gelato with their investigation of the Boss, so even if they can't manage to keep the photo plotline, they can still fall back on that because nothing in the anime contradicts it.
Fugo's anime backstory is the bigger problem.
@@SunderlandAlexis Actually the backstory could be added changing it a bit: give him the backstory with the grandmother but set it BEFORE the events of the flashback and change it a bit: make him have the grandmother, instead of a teacher make it be another kid that mocks Fugo, Fugo responds violently, but the teachers split it off before things escalate... later the shit with the professor happens and Fugo gets sent to trial.... yes it's a big change, but it sets up Fugo's character in the same way: he loves her grandma, and he has a violent outburst over her death not being treated with respect. It doesn't need to be a replica of the original, it just needs to have an impact and serve the same purpose.
also, PHF is rather long, so i would be fine if DP shortened it by erasing the scenes that contradict the anime and just move forward with the main plot.

Probably no. As much as DP is faithful to JoJo, they will have to animate scenes from the lines of a book and not panels from the manga, which will probably not look like what many PHF fans want to see.
well if theyre smart and use the current part 5 style, it can work, they have shown to animate scenes not just from the panels or atleast a different angel
There are many anime based off light novels. And who cares what the fans "want." Those who read the novel. It's about what people who watch anime and but the product would like. Like me who has a subscription to watch anime.
The way I see it. There is neither a reason nor a reason not to animate it. There is just a lack of incentive.
The changes made in the anime could be written around without sacrificing any of PHFs main story. Outside of the parts mentioned in the video, there aren't any other contradictions.

It makes me really sad that Fugo wasn't exploded more as a character. Specially having so much potential to grow and improve. And I loved that the novel focused a lot on Fugo realising why he didn't get on the boat, what really happened to him and actually learning why he stand is the way it's and almost accepting his most primal side. And not gonna lie, makes me sad that it will probably never happen because it's not technically cannon. Because overall the novel is great. It gives you more information about how Passione worked and why they were so successful, it shows you the state of Italy after Giorno became Capo and even expands the story of other lovable side characters from other arcs. Like Massimo Volpe being Tonio's brother. And it has some of the most interesting characters in any season of JoJo. Angelica, VIttorio, Massimo, Vladimir, hell even Cannolo. And I love Rohan as much as the next guy but I do believe some of his stories are a bit..... Shallow. But hey, animating a good story that has character growth, an actual story, lovable and interesting characters and that also expands on the existing world while also giving more context to other lovable characters? Nahhh, let's animate Rohan investigating his grandma's bag for 16 pages. CONTENT.

there is one detail that i have noticed while rewatching golden wind that may or may not be another clue or a reference at phf.
around the black sabbath arc (i don't remember if it is before or after) bruno explains to Giorno how passione works, and a hierarchy table is shown where the gang is split up into a bunch of groups with rather generic silouhette. if you pay close attention to this screen, you will be able to see the silouhette of la squadra, and be able to identify all of them. the thing is, one of the higher groups on that screen has 4 members with different silouhette, at first i tought it was the elite guards, but by looking closely the silouhette doesn't match and one the guards is missing. i havo not taken the time to actually translate what the name of the group is, but since they were so high up in passione i think it might be the drug quartel. i'm gonna try to go translate it and edit this comment for the results. (also sorry for the grammar).
edit: so i've translated most of what's on that hierarchy table, and sadly, what i tought was the drug quartel is actually ''Bodyguard shere'', i also noticed that one the the silouhette was hidden by the text. those silouhette don't really looks like the guards tho.
i also looked at the other groups, and the one that is named ''drugs section'' has 6 members with generic silouhette to my disapointment...

I absolutely love PHF but it’s definitely not getting adapted. I think I kinda prefer that though, a lot of the charm of it comes from the author’s writing style that wouldn’t translate well to animation. The fan-made screenshots and storyboard animations are enough to hold me over but I still highkey wanna see the canon color palettes for Sheila, Murolo, and the narcotics squad lmao. More than anything else I’d just want an officially published English translation

Jeremiah Only reason I think Golden Heart, Golden Ring And Purple Haze Feedback has a possibility is because of Part 6’s Bohemian Rhapsody and probably wanting some deals to get the Arc right.
0:28 This is why I love series like JoJo or One Piece: The fact that these characters the author's created are such brain-childs of their creators that the author actually has mental and physical responses to the scenes they create. It's why I hate directors obsessed with "subverting expectations" because they can just kill off anyone or make it turn out someone was secretly evil without a second thought. At fist Araki might seem like this since half the cast dies by the end of most parts, but he does it with a lot more craft and care than most people. It's not merely a "death" but a "sendoff".

I listened to the fan Audiobook a few weeks ago and I have to say, while I do like the novel a lot, I think it might be a bit underwhelming to people who have been hearing about it for so long.
In my opinion, the framework for a great story is definitely present but it suffers a lot from being a single novel, there is a lot of buildup and imo a pretty rushed payoff.
The ending while extremely cathartic, is incredibly anticlimactic for all the buildup it gets. The new characters, while interesting, exist purely to facilitate Fugo's redemption and really don't get to do much.
Personally I think it would make a better film than an OVA series unless DP really wanted to expand upon the material. I do want an adaptation to happen, but I'm not going to cry a river if it doesn't because honestly the book isn't *that* amazing, it's just pretty good.
Thank you. People are honestly out here crying because this isn't getting animated and acting as if DP has betrayed all their expectations when it's just a fun little spin-off. There's definitely some good stuff in PHF (Canolo is pretty based) It's definitely more liked for it's concepts than it's actual content.

Also, Duke Nukem Forever and Final Fantasy XV and Devil May Cry 5 and Kingdom Hearts 3 eventually did come out, so all these arguments are immediately invalid.

Honestly, I want for them to adapt both Golden Heart:Golden Ring AND Purple Haze Feedback as two separate but connected OVAs. They can do it. They can change stuff around with Fugo's backstory, take a dip in the animation, I don't care. Both of those stories deserve to be adapted.

however, the biggest problem about the novel is the SHAMELESS.
in the anime, the gang respected fugo's choice and fugo was worried about the gang's future.
THIS SCENE IS DESCRIBED COMPLETELY OPPOSITE IN THE NOVEL. this is why i kinda gave up my hope on phf.

I have similar thoughts on this as you, but it would be nice if at some point dp did animations of the fan novels since they are liked and give us content with some of our favorite characters. I would completely understand and accept if we don't get any adapted but it'd be nice to see some of the phf group actually moving

Koqaci is still, one of the most developed and sympathetic minor villains in all of JoJo. And the character growth in the fight is fucking awesome.

I talked about this on the episode just before the finale on kickass anime. and I was hoping the hour special would be purple haze feedback, but I was wrong of course, and the last two episodes where the hour finale, but it was still amazing. but I'd like to see it animated, but still hamon beat, I'll just buy the fan manga really, since I'm getting the manga, and I'm about to have all of phantom blood so by the time I get to part 4's hardcovers I'm pretty sure part 5 will have all it's hardcovers made by then, since I'm taking a break for the hardcover to catch up, with the anime. also I'm going to love the risotto, and doppio, cover when they get to the Metallica fight. Still I'm hoping for purple haze feedback to be a ova, like the Rohan one shots, so I'm staying determined.

I got a feeling that the guy who help Risotto find Trish was a friend or pawn to Cannolo.
If you read PHF he specifically said he had no friends and that he was the only member of the intelligence team. That was the point of his character development.

That's possible but it feels like a stretch. Honestly there are a lot of ways to interpret his position.
I guess that PHF and GHGR can be still animated, if contradictions of novel with anime are changed in favor of anime as an official source.
Fugo's backstory from the anime could be extended to his granny, which would give his character more depth.
Fugo might be not the one to recruit Abbachio but to be the one, who could help Abbachio to become accustomed to Passione. There is also a potential to show, why Abbachio is so scared of Purple Haze, as he could be actually the one who saw its effects unlike Narancia and Mista.
The guy who was forced by Risotto to restore the photo could be killed for trying to contact other Passione members and calling for help or simply for disobedience. As a photo was still not restored completely or deleted by the killed Passione member, Risotto would have to contact Cannolo Murolo.
Unlike PHF, I don't know much about GHGR, as I haven't read it yet but extra story about battle in Venice and more of Fugo's screentime would be awesome. Both PHF and GHGR have interesting characters and stands I would love to see animated.
Additionally, I would love to watch prequel series about La Squadra and their missions within Passione. Anime did a lot to make La Squadra team members more than faceless one-time foes like most of Part 3 ones. Their own prequel series could give more depth to hitman team members, as well as give us a look at stands of Sorbet and Gelato, more funny scenes with Formaggio (I absolutely LOVED his battle with Narancia), more dreadful charm from Risotto Nero and, most of all, to show a huge contrast of La Squadra with Bucciarati's team.
I am not expecting DP to animate anything (besides SBR and DMQ lol) but everyone has a dream. And who knows, maybe one day a dream will come true.
I had no idea this was a thing. As much as I enjoy the Rohan OVA, I'd be WAY more into this. Fugo is one of my favorite part 5 characters
Is it weird that hearing Araki's reason for NOT having Fugo come back made me feel really bad for Araki? I know this was a while ago and hopefully he's okay since then, but it sucks that he was clearly in a bit of a fragile state of mind for a while there. The manga industry can be pretty demanding.

It would be cool if at some point DP made a purple haze feedback movie, I enjoyed reading it and some of the stands like Dolly Dagger and Rainy Day Dream Away would be interesting to see animated. Even if it doesn’t line up with the anime.

@@shapard555 Let me spell this out for you. Part 5 is Japan's favorite part. It is THE most popular part over there. And an anime movie is significantly cheaper to make then an anime TV series, all things considered. Because PHF is more or less a sequel to Golden Wind or almost a "second finale"... People are going to want to see it. Especially if Araki assists with writing the script... Based on that... Yeah... It'd rake in the dough. A lot moreso then the Rohan Ovas, to put matters simply.

Also, by this logic, Golden Heart, Golden Ring would also make a lot of money as a movie too, and that one was outright commissioned by Araki, so even more incentive for that one.
@@smackdownbeef9490 For the record, the Rohan side stories don't really serve as a sequel to Diamond is Unbreakable or anything. That, and DP is doing separately sold OVAs and not the entirety of Rohan's adventures, which makes the purchase a lot more niche. Plus, PHF is the highest rated of all the side stories. And again, PHF is a sequel of sorts. Which means that it greatly enhances the narrative of part 5 and answers the question of "what happened after Diavolo's defeat.". My point is that it would fit into the format of a movie quite well, which in turn would make it an easier purchase then having to find each of the OVA DVDs for Rohan. It's one purchase versus several.

5:55 Throughout the entirely of the Part 5 anime I was praying if they gonna add PHF scenes during certain scenes like when they got on the boat and the Illuso fight. Basically this entire video was my thought process as each episode came out. So yea, PHF when?

PHF is definitely a resource popular enough to have an anime adaptation, but I guess some scenes and developments would have to be modified to fit the part 5 anime, such as Fugo’s past story
I personally want The Book to be adapted more, as there’s much fewer conflicts, and the mysterious vibe is damn cool. Seeing the living Takuma and Chiho on screen would definitely take me to heaven
I think that fugo came back as an enemy it would be cool to see his and cioccolatas mold work toghter
These are all nitpicks at best. David productions could just change all of these minor details to align with the anime.

Yeah, I'm not certain I fully agree with your points. Araki ASKED Kadono to write PHF and it has NOT been confirmed NON-canon. Obviously this doesn't mean it IS canon but rather we just cannot say strongly. As for contradictions, they are all so insignificant and easily edited. None of them seem to be related to major story beats enough to make an adaption difficult.
Now I still don't think it's likely PHF will get adapted, the rights are all over the place, and it would require some all new art since PHF is a light novel instead of a manga. I don't see the extra work and money needed getting put into it.
