I WAS NAMED AFTER THIS SONG!!! August 1986 my mum couldn't decide on a name for me ,this song came on the radio, she shouted the nurse for a pen,the rest is history 😊❤❤❤

This is what's so bad about listening to songs like this one. You get to remember the distant and unforgettable past......the likes of which will never happen again....
I was 5 years old and this was my first record with this song on it. I am Dutch and asked my brother to translate this song from English to Dutch. I loved this song
During my time at Record Mirror and Sounds from 1976 till 1978. My manager Ted who was Gay told me he loved this song . I did too. Still do to this day.
Yes, Ditto!!! 💯🤷🏽♀️ Just heard on the radio + had NO idea, was sung by a 'man??!' 😳🤷🏽♀️ Blown my mind completely, for almost 50 yrs!?? 😂 Mind-blowing!! 😬🤯...🤪
I was 21 and working as a sewing machinist. I used to stop work when this came on in the factory so I could just listen. I was on piece work too! Gorgeous song
Oh, it takes me bk to a time . But the happiness was there. Every day I think of this song, that moment how in love I was. I was 21, and she was 17. I would go bk in a whim. I threw it all away.
I went to school in the Cambridge UK in 1976 and there was this girl in our class called Laurie. She was from green bay USA. We shared what was my first ever kiss. We were both 10 years old :) This song takes me to way back then. Greetings from Italy.
I did, too! Oakland Coliseum, Oakland, CA. I think it was 1978 as well. Loved both the Alessi's and Andy. Not that you could really hear the music for all of the screaming, but we were a bunch of teenage girls having the time of our lives! Also got to see Andy again when he came onstage when I saw the Bee Gees. So many great concerts in the Sacramento and Bay Area back in the mid 70's through the late 80's. What I wouldn't give to relive those times:)
I saw these guys in '77, as they opened for Hall & Oates in Denver, at the old Auditorium Arena . They had 2 female back-up singers with their band, & they WERE FANTASTIC. I had never even heard of them but after the concert, i went out & bought 2 of their albums that were out , including the 1st, which has this wonderful song. At the concert, girls were screaming, but i was totally surprised by how good these brothers were. ----------------The 70's Rule. -------------------------WolfSky9, 74 y/o
Oh-My-God!!! I`ve been looking for this song for literally YEARS!!! I always thought it was called "Oh, Glory" and sung by a group like Earth Wind & Fire. 😶 Now, after a very, very, long search... I`ve found the song I truly love and rarely, if ever, hear it on the radio. It`such a classy jazz number. Thank you for uploading. I couldn`t be happier. 🤗
What a track! Just trips me back to long, hazy summer evenings in the 70's. Wonderful days that could never be repeated. (But oh.. if only they could...) 🕶
Bought the Album in the 1970's and am still playing it in the 2022's. One of my favourite songs bringing back one of the best periods in my life!! There aren't many songs that can do that. Love it!
This song takes me back, I was only young and my mum used to put the radio on before she took me to school. Terry Wogan was on radio two 📻 and used to play this most mornings. That's what this song reminds me of...🤔🙂👍🏻
I was 4 going on 5 in 1977 and always loved this song. I knew it was two brothers and seen photos but this is the first clip I have ever seen of them singing. Classic tune. Where did all the great songs go as nobody will remember anything from today’s “music” in 5 years let alone 40+ years
