Valleys on this ride are due to the boost motors being all the way at the top of the spike and failing to provide the train enough energy to make it back through the course in the other direction. The ride with either be disassembled or hoisted to the top of the tower by a rescue winch, and it will likely be put to rights and operating again fairly soon.
It reminds me back when playing Roller Coaster Tycoon when you would try to make an awesome coaster and it wouldn’t make it back to the station lol.
haha
Ikr. Aaaahhhhh memories
or when I tried to make mr. freeze in theme park tycoon 2 but boosters weren't fast enough
LOL
I still play and I can confirm low friction mode is a life saver.
I was on Thunder River when it happened. Saw the whole thing. If it happens again, I'll laugh and cry at the same time
I was so close to being on it when it valleyed i was a little disappointed haha
I was there that day too. A little under a week after on that Friday, it did actually valley again
IT LITERALLY ‘MR FROZE’
Haha lol
The Smiler mechanic would send another train full of riders to knock it loose.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Getting mad Smiler vibes rn
If you know you know
oh hell nah
Damn bro
roller coasters are safe.
this accident was caused by stupid operators
@@spreadthetruth90 It was likely a malfunction or wind problems. Some rides are more sensitive to things like that.
Greetings! May I use this footage in a video I'm making about roller coaster design flaws? I will give your channel full credit.
Yes that’s fine
I was wondering if a big gust of wind caused the train to valley and it couldn't make it to the next hill.

Crazy that it happened twice in the past year. Must be pretty unreliable.
it’s usually reliable just these past 2 years not so much
It was actually in the same week. This video was on the 10th of April, and I was there both that day and on the 16th. It valleyed again on the 16th.
How does it get back to the station
I was there the day this happened and the day after, and they removed the cars from the track.
If it’s closer to the spike, they can also winch the train back up the spike so that once it’s released, it can travel back to the station on gravity.
This almost happened to me, but THANKFULLY I had enough speed
This happens when the 2nd launch doesn’t fire. It’s a all or nothing scenario, it can’t almost happen.
Hey! Could I have your permission to use a portion of this in a video I am working on?
yea for sure
I was on there😳
How do they end up getting the train back to the station?
They take it apart then put it in the station
Gotta winch it to the top of the next hill. If it happened because of a bad wheel bearing, you have to fix that first.
I thought the LSMs on the spike would work :(
they usually do
but sometimes it depends on weather and how windy it is and stuff like that
LIM, and these rides are pretty reliable but are pretty old so parts wear out.
That's scary.
what park is this at?
Six flags St. Louis
@@NushiesExperience_ thats where i go
