Having grown up in Dallas and spending a lot of time at 6FLTX, these videos are so cool to see. I spent a lot of time there in the summer of 1987 so I can't help but watch the people passing by to see if I'm possibly in a shot. Thanks for posting!!
Yes,I remember the Big Bend and La salles adventure too! I was pretty young the first time I rode Big Bend. It was after it had some problems so I was scared to death the first time but afterwards I became hooked on it..you had to wait in line a very long time though..great ride..it was dismantled and eventually sold for scrap metal.there were rumors that people were killed on Big Bend but it wasnt true.there were problems but no one was ever killed on this ride.
Some of the cliff-hanger's chutes were sitting, some were standing. If the ride operator was willing, they could spin the standing chutes. "Give it all you got!" resulted in the most dizzy I've ever been in my life. We literally crawled off the ride and away, falling many times even while on our hands and knees. What a great time to be a teen.
BEFORE the Flashback! Wow!

Nice video! I remember going there in '89 when i was 8. The Flashback was brand new.
Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
Roto disco and the spindletop. I was 12 in 1987 and I rode all these. Thanks for the trip to the past! I grew up in grand prairie.
I've gotten so accustomed to Vibora red, black, and yellow, that how could I've forgotten the Bobsled being blue! Great vid! Thanks for the memories!
The video quality on this is excellent. It is like looking through a window to the past.

THE BUMPERCARS! MY GOD HOW DID I FORGET SO EASILY!
The Texas Chute Out opened while I was in middle school in the mid-70’s. It made quite the stir.
Got any of the Roto Disco?
Thanks for posting these!

Anybody remember the Big bend roller coaster or Lasalles Adventure??
OdyBeRidin
Yes! Big Bend was one of my first roller coaster rides. Too bad the thrill rides have taken over the old theme rides.
@arrowguy173 Thanks so much for linking to the Big bend. I was too young to ride it, or too short, so I finally got to experience it. Thanks!
The Roto-Disco was the best cool off in the park..
Sweet memories
I wish I was born to experience this
