I ❤️ Baby Bea!! When the cattle were up in the higher pasture, Bea seemed skittish. I hope she continues to warm up to you. She's so fun to watch grow 😊
She will always be baby Bea to me.. Like the new white cows names. Everyone is looking good Morgan. Stay warm... We had 🌩🌧. We got hosed last night. We keep having these hella rain storms. The ground is saturated so it all sits on top! 🙄🤷🏼♀️ I'm in rain gear all the time!! 😅 ❤🙋🏼♀️🐈🐕
Ooh! A shirt that says "Always drain your hoses!" with Rosie and Rosette on the shirt! It would be a great way to honor them IMO. 😁 Or maybe Rosie with the 3 little chicks she raised last year. That would be adorable.
‘Rational use of temperature measurement’ 😂😂 thanks that really helped as someone who uses Celsius. As someone who lives in a tropical area, I’m always amazed at how your farm functions at low temperatures.
I love that the little one is named Alice B. Toklas! I have a first edition copy of her cookbook that I got from a friend's mom's collection back in 1979.
Morgan, I like the more recent pastoral and reflective videos. We've hit -9°c once here so far this winter. The rest iswid and rain with occasional snow. Regards, Stephen.
The white cows are doing well, they have great names! The white chicken also has a great name, she might be my new favorite chicken! I wonder where Pablo was?
Could you please do an entire video where you explain, in painful detail, how to tell the animals apart? There are thousands of us who just see "two white dogs" or "four brown cows" and have no idea how to tell which is which. Thanks!
Yes! I have wanted this too. I’m sure there are subtle differences in color, horn shape, etc which are hard to pick out when they move around and the scene changes. I know there are probably lots of behavioral differences and personality traits like “boss cow”, etc. that kind of video would be great for kids and your devoted viewers.
I didn’t even think of this as someone who grew up naming every cow in the herd 😅 I suppose it’s like mothers to twins, it just becomes second nature to tell them apart ❤
I haven’t been getting notifications for your videos for some reason, now im 4 months delayed on content:/. Looks like im down for a binge watch. I don’t understand why UA-cam did that. Im surprised you haven’t hit 1m yet Morgan, keep up the good work!
You can get ceramic heaters for water. Not to take away from any residents, but the canines need it the most since you depend on them so autonomously. I have a cabin with cats and have looked at this myself, even looking at solar reinforced power. Our cats and dogs bring so much more to the table than we realize. We admit to it here and there, but they are our 24 sentries. I hope you look into self sustaining in this area some day.
I've been watching your channel for awhile now and have subscribed to it also. If it's not to hard on you could you please tell me if Molly the cat ever show back up please. Thank you.
Remember the chicks you got from Rosie and Mr Frizzle.. How about Barbara Chicken and Mr Frizzle, they'll definitely have a Crested Crown that's for sure 😂.
Nice names for the new cows, but I can't help but wish the name Adele was in the mix. Baby B is warming up to you again, I remember when she was first born she seemed really friendly, but as time went on she got a little uneasy for some reason. Looks really nice with all the snow, even if it's a short while it's nice to have a change of scenery. Pretty soon you will be collecting maple sap to make syrup, must be nice. Thanks Morgan for another day on the farm, see you soon!
I LOVE that you called the dirty chicken "Christina Aguilera" XD It's beautiful. In every single way. ...One of your cows has the same first name as me ^_^ And their breed is from the same region of France as me. I take it as a sign of some sort, but I haven't decided of what yet XD
Idk but im not getting notifications for you anymore and youre not in my feed???? I have all notifications turned on for you??? I have to manually search for your new vids
I don't know a whole lot about birds but I thought bread was bad for ducks, and maybe geese.. Does that not hold true for chickens? Not criticizing at all, just truly curious.
Im sorry muricans, Fahrenheit cant touch Celsius in terms of practicality etc. It actually makes such perfect sense there's no reason to ever look for an alternative. Its so simple and sound
I never get tired of hearing you proclaim "Release the Quacken!" during very cold (or very wet) weather, and seeing the birds either come out for an instant and go right back in, or not come out at all. I imagine an avian chorus of "Go out in *that*? Nopetty-nope!"
70 yrs old. How did that happen? Anyway . . . grew up rural with chickens, rabbits, pigs, milk cow, calves, Guinea fowl, horses and barn cats. Love you and all the critters.
Mother wasn't fond of dogs. Other than a German Shepherd Husky mix kept track of me when I was a toddler, there were no dogs. Other a goldfish, no animal was permitted in the house. Much, much later on, my father had a Beagle that lived outside and went to work with him every day.
Love the names of the new cows. Glad baby B is coming to you. In a couple of months we will have another calf to name. Glad both herds are getting along.
Astrid should be Astrid Lindgreen, she was child book author who also championed that cows should be outside as much as possible and got as birthday gift from the government, a law , making cows life better.
With Astrid you have photography-The Beatles. Amelia Earhart you have aviation. And with Alice B. Toklas you have the Paris art scene in the 20s. Well done.
You have a special connection with your farm animals and you interact with them like they are all your pets. That special connection sets you apart from a lot of farmers which is your compassion for them. I like the names for the new cows, except Amelia Earhart didn't have a daughter according to her biography.
I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken scrap moment of Zen! It's so much fun to give food to chickens. Table scraps kitchen scraps I throw out a handful of greens sometimes. It's just fun to watch.
We have the opposite here in Sydney Australia it’s going to be 38°C /100°F. It’s been 48°C/ 118°F out in the top middle of New South Wales. We are having a heat wave that hopefully won’t be killing people like your cold can do. Wonderful cow names, great choice. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
So many thing you do connect the dots for me now. Growing up, when I would spend time on my grandparents farm, I’d watch my grandmother take the bowl of kitchen scraps, at the time I would have called it garbage, take it outside and toss it over the back fence. No one ever mentioned why. They had free roaming chickens, or maybe it was a compost pile. This was a long time ago. It wasn’t until I started seeing you give the scraps to your chickens and pigs that I remembered.
The fact that the dogs are barking at the neighbours dogs as they walk past, is a sign that they’re doing their job i.e. warning the other dogs to get the hell out of Dodge. They’re not trying to name them, but warning them that this is their territory and to stay away. The cows have the problem in that they don’t have horns, unlike the Hyland stock .
If you make the rungs for the roosts out of 2 by 4 with the 4 inches being the top flat part. The chickens are able to sit on the roost and keep their feet warm, saves frost bitten toes when the weather gets cold overnight. Also angle the roosts like a swing set so they are not above each other
I'm not a native English speaker, but I'm pretty sure that "remember to drain your hoses" can be interpreted as something naughty, I remember hearing a very similar expression used in an interview by the (in)famous adult movie star Ron Jeremy. I also want to thank you for adding the Celsius temperature values in this video (and hope you'll keep doing that), as pausing the video to use a conversion calculator is rather annoying. We have a normal winter here in Romania as well, with plenty of snow and temperatures ranging from -15 to +5 C (5 to 40 F), which is pretty much average for this time of year in my area.
Suggest you purchase some 2-3 inch plastic pipes. Saw them in 1/2. Wire them up on the proper drainage angles and then lay your water hoses in them. Do drooping so no puddling and mid hose freezing. Plus….. as long as Baby B is suckling at all….. momma won’t get pregnant. Let her cycle if you want the additional calf.
That would be an extremely funny t-shirt "Always Drain Your Hoses" 😀😀😀
I ❤️ Baby Bea!! When the cattle were up in the higher pasture, Bea seemed skittish. I hope she continues to warm up to you. She's so fun to watch grow 😊
One of the best parts of keeping livestock is watching them interact!
New cows, new names, new year. January is almost over. Time flies really fast.
That is so gosh darn cute with all the hay on baby Beatrice‘s face 😅
She will always be baby Bea to me..
Like the new white cows names.
Everyone is looking good Morgan. Stay warm...
We had 🌩🌧. We got hosed last night. We keep having these hella rain storms. The ground is saturated so it all sits on top! 🙄🤷🏼♀️
I'm in rain gear all the time!! 😅

"For my friends who use a rational system" - this here cracked me up - so true
Must say I love your outdoor chore videos. The animals are the stars!
Glad you like them!
Ooh! A shirt that says "Always drain your hoses!" with Rosie and Rosette on the shirt! It would be a great way to honor them IMO. 😁
Or maybe Rosie with the 3 little chicks she raised last year. That would be adorable.
Happy chicken noises are the best kind of asmr
It’s 104f here in Sydney so I’m v jealous of your snow.
‘Rational use of temperature measurement’ 😂😂 thanks that really helped as someone who uses Celsius.

Great names! Great video. So glad it's not thatched in the lower Hudson Valley. 😊
Good morning everybody. I so luv your vids Morgan, they make my day.
The best part of this video was when you said RUN BARBARA RUN LOL....That was so cool.....Thanks Morgan 👍
An old stinky Shoe🇺🇸
Thanks, Shoe!
Barbara!! ❤ seeing her!
Great names for the new girls.
😂 The "weird chickens" are saying, "We're not coming out of our coop right now. Sorry, but we're busy. See you later." 😅
I love those weirdos.

Love the videos makes an old lady get a chuckle. Thanks Morgan. ❤️🙏☘️
i have never expirianced weather that cold! i may be a couple of years your senior, but i live on the south coast of england
One February in Montana we had temps in the minus 30's F, and windchills of about minus 70F. I live in Arizona now ;-)
I just LOVE the idea of naming them in ABC order!! Im 100% doing that!
Brrrrr very cold up there. Do so enjoy ur videos... Thank u.
It finally hit the - 30 - 40 temps 2 weeks ago. But we since went back up the warmer temps again. - 4 to 1 C
Happy Thursday Morgan
I still love the bird world ❤

I’m so glad I don’t own a farm. So much work. I’m glad you love it❤❤❤
YAY 😻 YAY 😻 YAY 😻 thank you for using Amelia That is my Granddaughters name. 😻😻😻💓💓💓 & Hello to you & your wife.
Last week we had like -19C here in Stockholm🥶
I haven’t been getting notifications for your videos for some reason, now im 4 months delayed on content:/. Looks like im down for a binge watch. I don’t understand why UA-cam did that. Im surprised you haven’t hit 1m yet Morgan, keep up the good work!
Nice video!
Ginny says "My feet are COLD! "
2??? heck, we had -70 a couple weeks ago here in ND.
Love the names especially Astrid ❤ and baby B should be baby B forever

Whoot, Amelia Airheart was one of my 3 suggests.
My chickens eat carryout lunches with me and are even good at eating from a fork..lol
Very sad Aurora wasn't picked...I saw it all over the comments so I got very hopeful 😢
8:27 that tshirt could be taken a very different way in meaning 😂😅
Wise man says, "Always drain your hose."
7:36 Caption AI interprets bird noises as 'laughter and Applause' lmao

Great names for big white cows!
Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
I keep wondering why you don't cover the ice upon your "release the quacken", with some hay. Stop them from getting frost bite.
Enjoyed the video 👌
I LOVE that you called the dirty chicken "Christina Aguilera" XD It's beautiful. In every single way.
...One of your cows has the same first name as me ^_^ And their breed is from the same region of France as me. I take it as a sign of some sort, but I haven't decided of what yet XD
Next might be the largest species of cow the chianina
2:15 - *eye twitch* I've had to listen to that for hours on hold for customer service, I think Verizon used that.
My comment on the chickens roost was dexlxxted again
aww you chose astrid!
MORGAN… Build BLEACHER style roost….
Idk but im not getting notifications for you anymore and youre not in my feed???? I have all notifications turned on for you??? I have to manually search for your new vids
Looks like it’s off to the groomers with that chicken
is it just the camera angle or are your roosts really narrow? do the hens not get bumblefoot?
I guess words like nesxxt and bxxox are considered in appropriate, utter crazzxiness.
I`ll keep asking, ad infinitum
Please release the 20min uncut Farmdog grooming/brushing video!
New book idea :: The Adventures of Ginny and the Macho Man
I need Christina Aguilera merch IMMEDIATELY.
Anyoe else have to look up Alice B Toklas? 😂😂
Do cows still need to be branded?
Why is Alice not a b name as she will be a 2nd generation with the heafers
I don't know a whole lot about birds but I thought bread was bad for ducks, and maybe geese.. Does that not hold true for chickens? Not criticizing at all, just truly curious.
It's not great, but the chickens end up eating 99% of it so I'm not too concerned.
won't automatic waterers be nice ?
Athena
Since the names are generational shouldn't the white calf have a b name?
I guess to go on with the “clan” theme… lol how about “the white knights”
Im sorry muricans, Fahrenheit cant touch Celsius in terms of practicality etc. It actually makes such perfect sense there's no reason to ever look for an alternative. Its so simple and sound

Ginny is perfectly camouflaged to sit unnoticed on a hay bale against the old barn! 😻
With Astrid you have photography-The Beatles.
Amelia Earhart you have aviation.
And with Alice B. Toklas you have the Paris art scene in the 20s.
Well done.
I was thinking Annie Hall and Amelia Earhart. But I love how he comes up with interesting names that correlate with what generation they are.
Your cows are so cute I love your videos keep up the good work

This is the only therapy I can afford
Mee too! 😂
It is good for the soul.
Also for me, Sheldrick and HERD videos on baby elehants, their keepers/carers, and other animals.
Baby B with hay hair...too funny!
I love you interacting with the animals, especially the cows! Thank you for this great video!

What happened to your white highland cow ?
didn't pan out
