- Guitar of the Day! Taking a quick look at a very unexpected Ibanez at 42 Gear Street in Germany. As a newcomer to Ibanez, I'm always surprised when I come across an Ibanez that isn't ridiculously chugtastic. I guess@RudyAyoub likes it, too.

I own an Ibanez and I can never remember the model number 5 minutes after I just looked at it! 😄 I was lucky 🍀 enough to get it autographed by Joe Satriani … that I can remember 😄

i was really dissapointed with the original ichiko signature . he had been playing a 90s talman for years and he gets a headless? im glad they got it right now.
The headless is sick, I prefer the Talman but let’s not take away from how cool his first signature is. Plus they both came out one after another, it’s not like it took long
I'm glad Ibanez decided to reissue the Talman...I've always loved it and I've always wanted to add a second one to my collection...

Just bought this guitar as a Strat replacement and it does not disappoint. Such a quality instrument for the price.

I’m glad Ibanez is getting some recognition for their non heavy metal designs, I bought an Ibanez artcore used a while back, not a fancy guitar, but very well built, has good sound clean and can rock if you need it to
The first ibanez i ever played was actually a roadstar strat. They make great traditional electrics.

This design is 25 years old. The Talmon has been around since I was in high school in the mid 90s.

My Ibanez Am-53 is so perfect for me, it sounds like the pop punk I want it to, the midwest emo tone and it can definitely fucking chug, I love it

I like how when you said ibanez made the first 7 string line and put the guys from Korn in when it was really the ibanez universe, Steve vais 7 string.
I was thinking the exact same thing that Steve Vai had the first Ibanez 7 string Universe I ever saw ( 🤔 I could be wrong but I thought it was the first production 7 string electric as well ) . I remember because I wanted one very badly. Pretty sure Passion and Warfare album came out before KORN and their 7 string Signatures.

Pretty interesting that they were the first production 7 string. I was just having a conversation with my band mates about this. I knew ibanez was big on extra strings. But I remember as a young adult in the late 90s going into Guitar Center one day, and all of a sudden, there were tons and tons of 7 strings. They were Schecter mainly from what I remember. Maybe schecter didn't invent them, but I feel like they were instrumental in their popularity. Or maybe the need for 7 strings is the reason schecter became popular.
I have the ichi10, and it has the same not metal af sound, but looks far more modern than the 100

Lol. Oh man. Ive been using ibanez models as passwords since the 90’s
I didn’t appreciate the Talsman when they first came out but they were supposed to be pretty great guitars. You can play more than metal on the RG series guitars actually but no one does lol. Some of the prestige and j craft stuff isn’t a very far cry from modern Anderson and Suhr guitars and I’ve seen plenty of country and other styles players using Suhr moderns and Tom Anderson has been building modern Strats since Ibanez launched the RG series so I kinda think the AZ stuff they have launched recently is kinda redundant but if they re issued the Tailsman with AZ specs now that would be cool the RG could be their modern line up and tailsman could be classic or vintage line and or a blazer reissue with an AZ headstock maybe ? But I’m still waiting on an Iceman done up like the new PG350 or whatever it is basically LP Custom Fireman but I need it in an iceman!

Nice, I wanted to get a Talman some years ago for it's hybrid Strat/Tele sounds, but the series from back then was freaking ugly. If this was available back then, I probably would've bought it. Unfortunately for Ibanez I recently got a Fender 50's Vintage Modified Strat that fulfils all my straty and tely needs really well, so it looks like they've released it a few months too late for me.

They’re actually easier to remember and classify and guitars with just words as their names. There’s a system. It’s not that complicated.

Bro said Flubber guitar lmao 💀 ya it’s like the YY10 but less expensive since it’s got custom Ibanez parts instead of Seymour Duncan/Wilkinson, and a couple of other spec changes like a roasted maple neck, and a nyato body (some of the 90s Talmans that Ichika has played for years had mahogany bodies instead of alder)

Ichika Ito is a great guitarist, but it annoys me that he unnecessarily has sped up his videos in post. He doesn't even need to. At least don't pass something off as a live performance if it's not.

Ibenez guitars and basses are JUNK!!! My 1st Bass was a Left Handed Ibenez Bass.. thing Cot on FIRE cause they left SAWDUST in the Pick-Up Chamber and the Neck even had a Peace of Medical Type in the Neck Joint to make up for neck being bent...BUT IF YOU LIKE JUNK ENJOY!!! i have Played Left Handed Rickenbacker Bass now for 25 years and no Fires Yet.
