- Have I lost my love for Wild Camping? Has UA-cam sapped the enjoyment out of it? I went up to West Nab in the glorious peak district this week, but this time I left my tent at home and just ventured out with my camera.
Pretty sick up there isn’t it mate. You proper dropped on with the conditions and lightning.

Hi,your the Yorkshire lad outdoors so if you camping doing a hike or photography it's you being outdoors ,just live your best life being you and what makes you happy .most people that watch channels like you are into the outdoors that is why they camp some people for photography like yourself or could be birdwatching, nature ,sunrises ,basically we all want to be in mother nature and have that freedom and therapy we get from it ,it is not all about the camping it is just part of it for some .The photos are amazing .Don't overthink it your channel do what makes you happy .I love nature ,photography ,camping so all a win for me .
Loved the different approach especially as an amateur the settings comments are a great help . Will definitely watch out for more of this type of video from you. Seriously though the Peak District is stunning in West Yorkshire myself so I'm down there as much as possible 😃
I think this is a really easy trap to fall into - camping so that there is something to film, rather than filming because you've gone camping. Camping AND photography/videography are enjoyable hobbies, and being able to share them on UA-cam is really good fun...provided numerical success doesn't get the better of us. It's something I've been aware of since about my tenth video too, and I'm keen not to feel duty-bound to go camping so that people can watch. I wouldn't enjoy that pressure, and so I think the videos would take a nosedive. I'm pleased to hear that you'll still be getting out camping though, whether you capture it in video format or not. At the end of the day, it's just a bit of fun for those of us who don't depend on UA-cam for a living, isn't it? We just have to keep sight of that fact! 🙂
First and foremost mate you have to be happy with what you put out. I did a few photography vids. Not for anybody but for me. It’s easy to become obsessed with chasing views and numbers and overthinking what people want. I enjoyed this vid mate, I love all the camera, filming and editing side of things. Some nice images in this vid.
And I’ve really enjoyed the podcast series. Do what you do mate 👍🏼you do it well. congrats on the subs too. Well deserved. Take it easy boss!

Hi buddy completely understand where your coming from I only put videos out when I feel like it but always feel I'm letting subs down but then I think I'm putting them out to document my time love the feedback I have seen a bit of your stuff and loved it you always have to do it for you your photography is mint love it enjoy stay safe and stay happy atb Lawrence from L.m bushcraft
Don't think you need to change the name of the channel, your content is your USP. I am a keen amateur photographer, hiker and camper, so for me any content in those categories gets my view.

Haha I've got a similar jacket and the same mic. Drop one of the chest pocket zips down a bit, slot the mic in (with the clip on the outside) and pull the zip up. Sorted 👍Some stunning pics there mate. Regarding content, just do what you enjoy and it'll shine through. As long as it's vaguely 'outdoorsy' I'll be following 🤓 Ben

You content is good. Camping or not. I was thinking 🤔 of doing a Chanel to show people anyone can do it as I have a prosthetic leg 🦿 but I go camping to reset and I would feel the pressure of making videos and editing. Keep the videos coming budd. You guys are so helpful with the content and gear that you all use.

Like they say, "hike your own hike". It's your channel and if you want to mix hiking, wild camping and photography, then so be it. Don't suppose you do a bit of fishing too?

Luckily, you’re not committed to providing content for wild camping, i.e. source of income. I guess that means you can pick it up when you see fit, and if you want to leave it for a month or so, so be it. It’s a tough call around splitting the channel between photography and wild camping. As you’ve said you want it to showcase you as a person, not just a website of stills to show how good you can take a photo. I think it will work as a combined channel, given you use photography etc as part of wild camping anyway. Ps- the insects editing had me in stitches. ATB mate

I've watched a few of your vids and enjoyed them I'm a wild camper I camp to hike so being outdoors is my main/only hobby.so anything outdoors is what I like to watch.your title doesn't say camping so why change it your interests are mainly outdoors photography or walking or camping so stick with the name.ive noticed a lot fall into the same trap of doing content for content sake which is never good.they are just going through the motions with no meaning behind it or showing what enjoyment they should have for doing it.i said on 1 of haze's vids I'd rather see something now and then from someone who is enjoying it than content for content sake.so do what you feel right with doing 👍
I do lot of wild camping but do not make video’s for UA-cam at all do take photos videos do not put them out to the public at all
