Nice vintage Philips valve radio you had there. No doubt gone to a good home now. I like the 'Magic Eye' tuning indicator. I happen to have an Ecko valve radio A355 with a similar 'Magic Eye' tuning indicator.

Perhaps check the fuse in plug for a start. Check power is reaching the on-off switch on radio. On-off switch check it is opening & closing as it should. Check power transformer in radio. Be careful with high voltages inside!
