  • In this video our nice quiet boondocking site turned into a landing strip for life flight. The horseback rider ended up being ok. Our Boondocking experience on North Pole Rd is our first real boondocking trip into the wild. We use our Bluetti to power the coach and solar charges the Bluetti. It worked like a charm.
We also took our last drive around Wildlife Loop at Custer SP before leaving the area. We saw more bison than we did in the 10 days camped inside the park. We finally saw the wild burros also.
Last but not least some hail and snow made an appearance on top of the mountain.

We visited there last year. But we never got to see the burros. Enjoyed the video.

Fun! I hope the lady on the horse is okay. Yikes! 😢 Scary!
I am so jealous of your camping in Custer. How far in advance did you have to book for that?

The lady that fell from her horse was ok luckily.
We stayed at 2 different campgrounds in Custer. 5 days at each one. One we had reserved a few months ahead of time. The other, we got lucky and got reserved the week before arriving.
