It is one of the best battles ever. The details of Pegasus using countermeasures to redirect enemy missiles is just brilliant and yet we see it for one second.
Apollo had the same perspective as Ensign George Gay at The Battle of Midway. Floating in the Pacific after being shot down. He had a front row seat to 3 of the Japanese aircraft carriers being blown to hell Ronald Moore was in the Navy and a historian used it as a guide for this
1:24, behind Gaeta, the graphic shows the final firewall being breached, unnoticed by any of the crew (resulting in the eventual compromise to Galactica's computers in later episodes). The attention to detail for something as simple as a computer monitor is ASTOUNDING. Same with the DRADIS screens throughout the show!
@@sindieltaylor2147 Do you have a source or reference? Genuinely curious, I noticed in the movie 'The Plan' (I think) it shows the Cylon fleet assembled at the Colony and it's far less than 120 Basestars there. From that scene I was thinking the same thing as Avenger, the Colonials would have repulsed the attack on the Colonies had the CNP not been a thing.
@@sindieltaylor2147yeah wouldn’t have mattered given that the mercury class alone with just a skeleton crew could solo 3-4 basestars, the colonial fleet would’ve wiped the floor with the cylons in a conventional war
@@jfernandez7098 If they hadn't penetrated defenses instantly, they likely could have won through attritional cyberwarfare and sending more infiltrators but with way more losses that might have overwhelmed even their ability to resurrect.
One thing I've wondered about Viper Pilots is when they're firing their guns how do they aim since there is no gun sight that we can see they probably have a helmet tracking system and the guns are on some kind of gimbal so wherever the pilot looks those guns point in that direction
Probably not that sophisticated. The guns on a viper more or less never move; the pilot maneuvers the viper itself until the nose points at her target, and if it's in range, she fires. The cannons also have tracer rounds (the glowing stuff you see when they shoot) so the pilots can see where their rounds are going and adjust their aim as needed.
Season two had some of the best battles in my opinion
The battle of the Resurrection ship seen in the distance from Apollo's perspective was an inspired artistic choice.

@@adam145 yes not too many have noticed that. Good eye
I love how Galactica is usually defensive. But when it attacks it can still give hell even for an outdated ship.
No way the Clyons win an all out war. That's why they had to do a surprise attack.
6:37 I love this more and more, what an unceremonious way to kill the brilliant Blackbird

That's impressive because it's there for literally half a frame, but you're absolutely correct. The Cylons got in.
Dang. Good catch.
@@leifdeatherage7257 its abit more than half a frame but yea
I remember people catching this when it first aired. Our minds were blown when it actually had consequences later on.
The music! I'm having flashbacks to the video game!
Thanks for the upload. Can you also please upload the "Battle of Ragnar Anchorage"? It's from the Galactica mini series and one of my favorites.
Gotta say without the CNP backdoor, the Cylons didn't have a chance in hell. Those new battlestars would have torn them to pieces.
The new battlestars were better sure, but the Cylon fleet was three times larger.

Scar's trick of attacking out of the sun is actually something WWII pilots sometimes did to ambush an enemy.
It's air combat 101. Still relevant today.
Shame about the Blackbird, she barely got any action.
That thing was OP. Writers had to kill it.
too OP

This was the show! 🏆🏆🏆🏆
My Startrek Cruisers are attacking me allegedly.
Scar has to be the best Season 2 episode and probably top 3 in whole show.
I FRACKING miss this show!
really good bsg high quality
Fraking awesome show go STARBUCK!
“We’re all friendlies! So let’s just….be FRIENDLY!”
The computer virus scenes always remind me of Neon Genesis Evangelion🤣
The only thing I hated in BSG is that they gave Gaeta such a sad ending. He got the shitty end of the stick every frakking time.
Like Apollo said, this is a gang on the run and trauma for years makes people do things no one can predict.
I wish they would have used the main forward guns more
100 feet Clearance only allegedly.
I got a chain to the StarJet.
Their Old Jets.
It is there above me.
It is the Only Jets I got in the area in amount.
I got a chain on my Leg.
Those are Old Jets. I Like Call of Duty.
3:27 kat wasn't the brightest. Wants to shoot at the people who are out flying them.
To the Jet.
I dropped the anchor by accident in the past.
THE UNSC IS RECRUITING.
Same Thing.
I'AM Captain Captain Rex.
In Starfox Captain Starfox, or Captain Falcon.
Yeah Call of Duty Latest update of Starfox.
Yeah it is old tech. We colonized this Planet. The old planet exploded, I was a Child. I'AM Old.
Most ICONIC stupid titles using ICONIC always
