lol dude I had the same feeling about it for years, I looked it up on google in the early months of 2018 and found it, I was jumping in my seat for months tell they released it. then in october of 2018 they pushed a massive update that added in so much more content its great.
Fusion Fall’s aesthetic was beautiful. Ik it’s a bit dated, yet it’s still beautiful with its design. I miss this, I fuckin miss free realms, and clone wars adventures. Miss them all.
Well be happy you can still play FusionFall. Since a small albeit dedicated team of devs have been working on two seperate versions of Fusion Fall, those being Fusion Fall Legacy and Fusion Fall Retro. Also yes they did get permission from Cartoon Network themselves for the fan project.

As of April 16th, Cartoon Network issued a DMCA Takedown on Fusionfall Retro, Fusionfall Legacy and every Fusionfall-Related Projects. We succeeded in bringing back a game that was thought to be dead for years, and breathing life into it once more. So do not think of this as the end of Fusionfall forever. I’d get home, eat a snack and then play , these games were so fun and entertaining. Although my mom had to deal with me crying and whining because I couldn’t pass a boss, it was still fun. If you are reading this please don’t forget these games and memories because soon we won’t have anything like this.

I've played AQW a few times. Got burned out on the day I learned the fabled _"Sword with skulls on it, and skulls on the skulls, and spikes on the skulls, and on fire"_ that I joined to aquire in the first place required a Membership subscription to use... I play the *_Hell_* out of AQ3D though!
Moral of the story: It ran out of content, there was nothing keeping the game fun and due to budget cuts their project was doomed to fail. Edit: I changed They're to Their. It only took 2 years to correct my error lmao
The only thing I really remember from this game was accidentally hacking into someone else's account. At one point there was a limited time event for some Ben 10 character hat for the player where all you had to do was enter your username and it would automatically log you in with the item, apparently no one tested it to make sure you couldn't just enter someone else's username and 1 typo later I was into a different account. Completely terrified by the idea that someone could just log into my account and delete everything I stopped playing.

At first I was so freaking hyped about the game, I found the concept and the story very cool, until I got stuck in a point because I had to pay, and I did not live in the United States so I stopped playing. Until one day I logged back on and I found out it was free, so I was super hyped until for some reason I eventually stopped playing. I moved to the U.S in 2012 and didn’t think about the game until 2014 when I unfortunately found out it was shut down, I was devastated but accepted the reality of it, now in 2019 at 16 and almost 17 years old I decided to look up the game again like 3 days ago only to be met with a surprise that the game was back as fans decided to bring it back, I downloaded it and haven’t stopped playing since. Thank you so much for letting me relive the happiest years of my life.
Fusionfall was brought back though! Different people are working on it and it works wonderfully now! It can be a bit buggy at times but it's so much better now. You can tell the people who work on it now really care about the game
Bro I searched for this game for so long, last time I played it was like 10 years ago or more, I was in love with this game but I couldn’t remember the name and it got stuck as a memory of a good game to relax.
On the slim chance that anyone reads this: there's actually another revival project out now called "OpenFusion" which is an open-source version of FusionFall where you can roam around the map with friends and even download and run a server for it yourself (though not necessary to play it). Granted, it is missing a lot of features, but its better than nothing.
There's also a project called FusionFall Re:Fuse It's in demo, The devs are trying to create a perfect copy of the original FF whilst adding extra content

2012/2013 Minecraft was officially out, so it was a big hit for every indie kid-base games. So I think the success of this game made other small games disappeared... Well, not everyone have to win on gaming store.

I moved to the U.S in 2012 and didn’t think about the game until 2014 when I unfortunately found out it was shut down, I was devastated but accepted the reality of it, now in 2019 at 16 and almost 17 years old I decided to look up the game again like 3 days ago only to be met with a surprise that the game was back as fans decided to bring it back, I downloaded it and haven’t stopped playing since. Thank you so much for letting me relive the happiest years of my life.
They should re-release this for console. This game was fun as hell when i was younger

Fusionfall was brought back though! Different people are working on it and it works wonderfully now! It can be a bit buggy at times but it's so much better now. You can tell the people who work on it now really care about the game
Bro I searched for this game for so long, last time I played it was like 10 years ago or more, I was in love with this game but I couldn’t remember the name and it got stuck as a memory of a good game to relax.
On the slim chance that anyone reads this: there's actually another revival project out now called "OpenFusion" which is an open-source version of FusionFall where you can roam around the map with friends and even download and run a server for it yourself (though not necessary to play it). Granted, it is missing a lot of features, but its better than nothing.
There's also a project called FusionFall Re:Fuse

The devs are trying to create a perfect copy of the original FF whilst adding extra content

Cartoon network is the premier example of how to make a bad decision, fusionfall can make a comeback with a f2p system and still make money. Sad ending to fusionfall and retro/legacy
