From guitar player then salesman to CEO of Schecter is mighty impressive. Began to get really interested in Schecter when I ran into the Schecter C-1/e/a with piezo option. It blew me away!

I remember going in a store with a friend to help him choose his second guitar (the second guitar is when things start to get serious), after an Ibanez Gio. We tried different guitars but we were blown away by a Schecter Omen. It sounded so good for the price.

I started my Schecter journey when I visited the Guitar centre in Bloomington MN.USA. I was working in MN in 2011. And my first visit to the store, my jaw dropped. Back then, I had never seen anything like this store in the UK! Wall to wall, up and down Guitars etc. Needless to say, every weekend I visited the store, trying various left handed offerings, of which were limited amongst the different guitar brands. I had never heard of Schecter back then and never in the UK. But Schecter caught my eye, offering a left handed version of every model of guitar they make, from low end to high end and all of them looking awesome... And to this day, IMO, Schecter offer quality guitars across all price ranges to the left handed player. And I have quite the collection now 🙂

For years, I considered my Schecter C-1 Elite my best guitar. Indeed, I thought it the best instrument I ever had! Fairly recently, I got into adjusting and modifying guitars, but the only replacement I've done on the Schecter is the TOM-style bridge. (The gold plating wore off the original bridge.) I'm even doing fret jobs now, but I haven't done anything to the Schecter; the current playing surface has some idiosyncrasies that I really love! Since they'll be lost if I do the frets on this axe, it's staying original. Also, visually, it's GORGEOUS! If I did a gig with Carlos Santana, I would take that C-1 with me to let its lovely quilted maple top compete with Carlos' signature PRS!

Same here! I own 14 guitars and out of that bunch 4 of them are Schecters simply because they get it right the first time. The Omen and SVSS series are two models that I consider the best guitars ever made. Schecter also keeps their prices reasonable where other guitar makers have gone greedy bezerk lately since COVID.

I bought a Schecter with the bats in 2013. It had EMG's which I eventually removed and replaced with passives Seymours. Drilled out the now useless battery cavity to add more volume/tone control knobs so it could control more like a Les Paul.
It's always been my favorite guitar, and it's my mod machine, workhorse instrument and handles unbelievable abuse; being thrown around the stage like a skateboard, a failed smash attempt by a drunk punk band member(still mad about the paint), left out in the rain overnight, run over by a jeep(seriously, not kidding), and it is still rock solid with perfect intonation. What the hell more could I ask for?

My Son just bought a slightly used E1 Special Edition KOA. He plays a Gretsch White Falcon in a Band. He was looking for a new sound and various Schecter models he was considering. Omen 7 and Apocalypse FR. He likes the E1 look and with the KOA top with mahogany body and neck reverbs well and the pickups are hot. The fit and finish is amazing, through a Rivera amp it sounds phenomenal. He will be buying another Schecter soon.

  • @qstudiomusicandproductions2695

Loved the interview! I'm a huge fan. Apparently there are some detractors out there- snobs maybe? To me the price to quality ratio is the best in the industry. I got into Schechter late and only have a couple of them a guitar Damien Platinum, and bass Omen Extreme. My wife is like are you done buying guitars? I thought you were done? Too bad because there are some really cool retro axes copies I wanted to try. Hey maybe I'll win the lotto or one of my side gigs will come through 😀I used to play in church praise band- lol I can just image if I bought my Damien in with bat inlays to church 😁
