〽️SHIP SINKING - Manuel Azueta
- This video presents, from the beginning, the process of dumping or sinking the former Destroyer Comodoro Manuel Azueta, a vessel 94 m long, 11 m wide and 18 m high that the Mexican Navy decided to sink to become a reef artificial, in the seas of the Gulf of Mexico, in Antón Lizardo, Veracruz.

This was originally the USS Hurst launched in 1943. It was sold to Mexico in 1973 where it served until 2014. The ship was then sunk and turned into a reef 2017. This ship had quite a long life being in service for over 70 years.
I sucked bro off 😈😭👌🫣🙏👠😈😭😴
Shame that we can’t keep such historical beauties
prob because it costs a fortune to maintain a ship@@Mr101editz
@@randomrazr yeah. At least it serves as a reef now

We sit and watch this ship sinking , but we must try to imagine what it must have been like for sailors trapped on ships that got sunk during the wars. It must have been absolutely terrifying. 🇬🇧
Exactly what I thought, I always imagined naively that I could escape a sinking battleship. But no, in a flash your room is filled with water, the floor is the wall and it’s pitch black, you have no oxygen and you have hatches and hatches to get through. It’s game over, unless you are topside or get blown clear of the ship in an explosion that doesn’t instantly kill you, you’re dead.
Craziest thing is that when they turn them into reefs they really have to try quite hard to sink them so you can kinda see just how much damage one of these could absorb, but just as well a few good hits could sink it.
Oh, definitely
No joke when the bridge fills up with water it looks like captain Smith,s death on the titanic
only faster🤣🤣🤣
Smith got in the water along with Andrews at approximately 2 AM, as the bridge flooded they stepped over the bridge wing into the water and where never seen again. Well Smith possibly but it's only known as an "old gentleman" not confirmed to be the Captain. In that story an old man swam up to the overturned Collapsible B and asked if he could come aboard. He was told no and said god bless and swam away. But neither of them did the movie suicide thing. Once nothing could be done and all the boats were away and the final plunge began they did try for it. Joseph Bell and his staff were closer to that, they remained below keeping the power and pumps running. The final row of boilers (Boiler Room Nr.1) where not lit during the voyage however they were at the end to provide steam to the dynamos. When the ship broke apart at 2:18 AM the steam lines ruptured and the lights went out. Not bad... Costa Concordia lost all power within less than a minute of the impact, Titanic kept the lights on for almost 3 hours. Costa grounded or she'd have sunk in an hour with all aboard as the evacuation only began after the ship was blown by into the shore by the wind and grounded. Of course Titanic was an ocean liner not a cruise ship, they're built much tougher. An ocean liner has to be on time even if there's a strom. A cruise ship will never ever voluntarily sail into a storm, that's how you sink one.
Dang, awesome video
Esplêndido, ao mesmo melancólico! Esse canal me surpreende a cada vídeo! Perfeição!
Awesome footage

This proves boats are also concious as you can clearly see the other boats gathering around their sinking old friend.
super,ein neuer zukünftiges riff !!!!!
That was quick!
Think of the movies you've seen that included people inside a sinking ship... the water cascades in gently as they swim to the nearest hatch...
NOPE. Not a chance of moving in a direction you desire. You'll move where the water takes you, and NOW.
No, it doesn’t sink that fast. It only did here because they completely stripped it down and did everything to make it sink quickly.
Cameraman never dies
Que momento triste.....😢😢😢
I think it would better to sell the metal to a steel mill. My opinion, concrete dome pods work better as a reef.
I came here looking for this ,and looking at that parade of boats in the background, I'm not the only one who will go out their way to see this 😏
Muito bom

I really want to test a sinking ship
Looks like a scene from the bridge of Titanic.
Medo!
"Wait a minute, where's Frank?"
Is this a test?
Is a ship out of service that was sunk intentionally to create a reef colony
the part where the water flowed through those windows. I reminded me of... something
Enjoy your brand new reef, fishies! Come on down!
Such an old ship should have been turned into a museum. All that service just to be blasted and sunk. It’s honestly disgraceful.
Why did they sink this beautiful ship? It was made in 1943, could have been turned into a museum or something.
It's being turned into something even more worthwhile though.
0:20 Hey, I think I've seen this once from a certain movie!
Did you find the bots an dteh one that sank?
I assume it's for a coral reef? To short of time sinking
There’s no such thing as a short sinking, a skin king can happen instantly but it’s kinda impossible

The big question is how did they get the camera back?

The cameraman stayed at the sinking ship to capture the final moment
oh boy i wonder what the wreck looks like
Maybe a little damage if it hit the sea floor but maybe the same as it was before it sank
This sunk so quickly! If that got hit by a torpedo in war, the people on board would have absolutely no time to escape.
Well, not quite. They go to great lengths to prepare the ship for sinking. Lots of panels are removed, doors opened, holes made in bulkheads, no damage control teams. As such it sinks much faster than might be expected.

Isso é um naufrágio proposital?
Sim.
Rest in peace 😢
I can think of better uses for that scrap steel.
That was fascinating
is this how the titanic felt..

Bruh mate its real life
i thought there was a kid inside
looking at the shots of the below deck compartments filling.. you cant help think of the thousands of men that went down with ships. not a fun way to go...
How far did it sink ,?
All the way.
Why this ship sunk too much fast?
Define "Too fast"? It was a very small ship, not a lot of reserve buoyancy to begin with, and it was opened-up inside to ensure even flooding to achieve an upright position on the sea floor. It sank exactly at the correct rate, and on an even keel.

How’d they get the footage from the inside of the ship?
Retrievable go-pro's. The ship sank to a depth where divers could reach it, and the 1st divers down were from the team managing the sinking, and they knew exactly where to go to retrieve them.
