Beautiful tribute to the Dutch people who built their wonderful country with enviable capacity for unity as a nation. Greetings from a southern Brazilian. Beautiful work to preserve the history of Holland.
From Adelaide,South Australia. Love what you have done with the old movies. I was a member of the Dutch Dance Group ,here and enjoy the wonderful costumes that we had in Holland. I made mine and they are now in the migration museum here for all to see what a wonderful culture we have in the Netherlands. Keep up the good work. Ineke. 😊🇦🇺🌍
Such beautiful pictures and video ! I was born in Apeldoorn, and have been back several times.....there is NOWHERE ON THIS WORLD that is as lovely and beautiful as Nederland....and the people are wonderful !

I took a boat trip at Harderwijk with my mother in the early 1970s. That was so long ago that it was at the midpoint between the time this film footage was taken and the present! But Harderwijk had already changed beyond recognition, with a huge concrete pier and a large dolphinarium. It's amazing to see that in 1926 many Dutch people still had a distinct style of dressing instead of looking like everybody else from Western Europe. The flag on the boat shows that colors chosen by the AI can be very inaccurate. One can see blue, white and blue flags in many colorized American videos, too. Obviously, inferring true colors from black and white images is impossible altogether, and the AI makes better guesses than people most of the time. Let's hope that creators of such software find a way soon to give their AI some specific extra training with flags and uniforms!
To be honest I don't see a lot of traditional clothing. These were isolated fishing villages, you can't compare these with the rest of the Netherlands.
@@cymen1 True - and yet to me it is remarkable to see _any_ people in traditional clothing at that time. On the other hand, it prevailed much longer in places like Bavaria, so perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised.
Interesting to see how confident the passengers are disembarking along that rather sketchy gangplank, after years of dealing with the public in similar circumstances, I can say modern passengerswould be much less surefooted, particularly women.
Goh ik kan maar moeilijk geloven dat deze opnames uit 1926 komen, vooral omdat de inkleuring wel prima is,en ook toen al zag nederland er wel degelijk modern uit.
Man man man !
Wat een PRACHTIGE documenten zijn dit !
tempo, inkleuring, muziek keuze.
wonderlijk.
Wonderful that modern IT can restore these old films! Keep up the great work!

I LOVE THIS VIDEOS ,LONG LIVE THE FRISIAN COMUNITY!!....THE OLDEST AND MOST UNKNOWN NORDICS .
Prachtig! Oude, echte beelden komen helemaal tot leven over Urk.
They probably sailed right over the place where my parent's house was in the Flevopolder! Thanks for the restoration work :)
Geweldig om te zien, weer wat moois gezien en geleerd in kleur.
prachtig urk indertijd, fantastisch ,wat een aankomst
You are very skilled at restoring and colorization. Look forward to your posts!
Thank you. The next step is going to be video enhancement with Artificial Intelligence (I have to order a more powerful computer...).
As a Harderwijker i love this very much😍
❤❤from Harderwijk
The good old days. Back before the future become the present and then the past.
Een mooi stukje Nederlandse cultuur 👍
Beautiful job👍

Mooi hoor! Heb je nog meer beelden van Harderwijk?
Het mooiste eiland in de zuiderzee
Hoe lang zou dat varen zijn geweest?
is the first 2 minutes of music eric satie?
From urk🥰
Now... Most of what you see would be either the Flevopolder or the Noordoostpolder.
No Urk is still here...
@@hannakramer4785 The town is, yes, but the sea is now Flevoland.
