    I just bought this phone and was concerned about the screen protector warning. Watching your video and reading the comments made me feel good. Hope the device gets delivered ASAP.

      Thanks for watching. Not sure what the last line means or what device I was waiting on at that time.

    I've had this device for almost 5 months. My screen protector still has no defects other than a few micro scratches. I am the type of individual who will keep a phone for 3 years and never drop it once. It's good to know i can do screen replacement myself.😊

    Hey! Lovely video, but I have a doubt. Do I have to take off my pre-installed screen protector and go for a new one? Or can I just add one for the external display? Sorry if it's a stupid question ... I'm really anxious cause I have my first scratch on the main screen. Much love!

    • @GadgetGoddess
      @GadgetGoddess  8 місяців тому +1

      This is one of those things where you won't really know until you remove it. Sometimes leaving a damaged protector on causes damage more than it protects. I tell people once it lifts you should remove it and replace it or just remove it. If one piece of dirt or dust gets under the protector it rubs your screen every time you open or close your device. It could appear to be a crease or if could be a line of screen damage. Not trying to scare you just being honest.

      It depends. Keep in mind they all come up at some point just from use, even the factory protector. I've had some I've never replaced but typically that's on phones that have specialized protectors on the inside that I layered matte on top. I had some cases, but I ended up sticking with the original one from the box. It turns out it's the slimmest one and it doesn't slide off the phone due to it's straps on top and bottom.
      I'm curious about your experiences with the other clear case - is it bulkier than the one that comes in the box?
      Also I can recommend you the GKK case with built-in screen protector, but it's a bit bulky.

      I have a carbon fiber look one that's pretty good. I use that one, the front of the girly one with the clear back one that I bought a lot. The factory one is the thinnest as you've stated. I've enjoyed the 3 I've bought with the factory one. Glad I waited because of the availability of accessories.

    If any device with a battery comes at 0 or 100% ... Return it... It always comes half way charge because that's about 3.7 to 3.8 voltage and that's the range you need if you want your battery to last ages especially if it's stored away. If not.... Your battery will degrade faster. That's how batteries work pretty much on every thing. ❤

    how is the phone now?

    • @GadgetGoddess
      @GadgetGoddess  9 місяців тому

      I was just telling someone here yesterday it's fine. I've removed inner screens from z folds z flips and the protectors are just like any other protectors. They need to be changed if they get damaged or lift. The key is just taking your time and not removing it like the protective layer they put on a new phone. There is nothing special about these protectors like the Oppo, OnePlus, and Pixel fold models.

      I guess I've always applied protectors. What's funnier is typically some foldables have it in the software settings to increase sensitivity if using a protector. I love the hinge protectors as well for sure

    I bought the Razr+ when it first debuted. Read the ominous warning about removing the screen protector so I thought it must be some special film.
    A few months after I had the phone the bottom corner of this special (not) screen protector developed some ripples. I thought that odd for a special or proprietary SP. But overall, the rippling was not deal breaking, so I just carried on. (Update: I read on another forum that Motorola does not warrant its screen protector. That's illegal, but whatever.)
    Fast forward 7 moths, this AM I dropped my phone in the bedroom and the display hit against a sharp-edged object (flashlight sitting upright against the wall). That nicked the screen protector, a very small nick, but a HUGE nick for someone who is OCD about his phone displays.
    So first light I'm looking on UA-cam for a fix. Your video confirmed that there ain't nothing special about THIS OEM screen protector. Indeed, after watching this video I removed my Razr+ screen protector and could SEE and FEEL that this was indeed a plain ol' screen protector.
    So I clicked your link and ordered a few.
    Thanks!

Like i think it was written like you put a protector on top of the existing one. or void the etc etc. Lol im sitting here with a bramd new screen protector and camera protector itching to install. But im like what will it void in the warranty ? 🤔🫣🫨help youtube land

      I have replaced quite a few screen protectors on lots of folds a flips. There are some I won’t replace and I layer those but the finish on those screen protectors tell you if they are special or not. (Blueish purple finish on the actual protector and typically just the inside has them)These are not anything special. You can send it back to moto for a replacement but they might take a while to get it back to you.
      BUT that being said I am not one who breaks phones and never had to use a warranty on any of mine. I use mostly imported devices so the factory year warranty is all I get anyway. I see it as my device once I buy it so why can’t I replace it. My first removal was the samsung z fold 2 and I have been removing them ever since. I have also been getting comments like yours since I started doing it which is fine people are curious. I have even traded in a replaced protector. If you have a regular protector on a foldable it will eventually come up. Either at the crease or the edge due to use or change in weather. How you deal with that is your choice 😊
      Thanks for watching

      @@GadgetGoddess gotcha thanks for your help. 8m the same way. I only broke one screen ever on my s7 after massive abuse. I only have this razr now because my s10 has just seen better days and l recently lost all screen functions. Randomly works fine again but too many times it's almost cost me more than a new phone. So it wasnt worth clinging too anymore. Im a removeble storage girl and so many phones especially the galaxies have axed the sd card. The s10 and i think the s20 plus were the last to have a sd card.

      @TheAsmrAddict888 yeah they charge too much for storage these days for sure. I miss removable batteries I was the queen of stand alone battery chargers I would keep avoid 3 spare batteries just in case. Nice choice on picking this one over the 2024 model. It has a bigger battery and they are about the same. I just picked up a Xiaomi Mix Flip and I'm waiting for it to arrive...
