  • Quick ride on my old 2022 Yamaha YZ250F Monster Edition at KickIn Roost MX. The '22 YZ250F is such a fun bike to ride with 2-stroke like snappy engine response, the best partial throttle torque feel of any 250F, and the great off the showroom floor suspension. Easy to see why these bikes are so popular!
Here is another one of my reviews on the Yamaha YZ250F Monster Edition...

Have you rode the 19 crf250r? Was wondering the comparison to the 20+ yz250f’s, and how many hour have you 3 put on the 22 yzf? Any preventative maintenance or all still original?

The 19 CRF250R engine has soft low to mid power and requires lots of engine RPM's to go fast. The 2022 and later CRF250R's have noticeably more low to mid throttle response and power feel. The 2020 and later YZ250F's have strong low to mid power and the engine builds RPM's quickly. The KYB suspension on the YZ250F's work well for a wide range of riders. I don't own a 250F currently however preventative maintenance is important for any racing motorcycle.

@@mxengineer1 what about issues with the 2020+ yz250f years with bad trans and problems with timing chain stretching at low hours have heard quite a bit of those to issues with the newer yz250f’s

@@dakotaquintero5743 Proper maintenance and regular part replacement is important for any highly tuned race engine. I read Yamaha made the cam chain stronger on the 2024 YZ250F
