You made the wrong decision to get rid of a Henry for that, who would replace a good old Henry for that crap
The thing is I've seen loads of Shark vlogs it's not all necessarily dirt it's also a lot of carper fluff because of the rollers. But it is amazing I have a cordless one

You are not being fare because Henry vacuums are suction only and the shark has a rotating brush plus the Henry is old and the shark is new.
Henry’s come with that though and the manufacture says the Henry floor tool can be user on both carpet and hard floor. The Henry being old won’t make any difference to the suction and the Henry was used on max power. Henry has a straight suction nozzle, I know you can buy a floor head with a rotating brush for Henry (I’ve had one) and it made no difference whatsoever to the performance of Henry, 1st reason bristles are too soft to do anything on carpets. 2nd reason revolving brushes slow down (because Henry revolving brush floor tool is suction powered that makes the brush spin) because of the resistance of the carpet pile meaning Henry’s are useless for carpets, good at hardfloors but really Henry’s are more suited for diy use, building use or offices etc.
Now onto the shark, shark is miles better then a Henry anyway due to having powerful suction and has a revolving brush powered by a separate motor rather then the suction motor powering the brush. The shark has stiff long bristles getting deep into the carpet pile to agitate all of the dust and dirt out of the pile. Shark is more then capable of doing both hard floor and carpet brilliantly without anything left behind. The lift away mode which is brilliant because it cancels out the need for a cylinder vacuum, and is way easier to use on stairs in lift away mode. Also has a similar length cable to henry. They also have good customer care provided by there brilliant customer service team. The downfall of shark like with any bagless vacuum, you mustn’t use them for diy or building, as since it’s bagless the fine building dust goes through the motor, inevitably breaking it.
