    Hi April, I think your bowls are very pretty and are really nicely made. I really love the yellow one, it's totally my vibe. I've got some Das air dry clay, so I think I will take a leaf out of your book and make my own. I love the one that is your favourite as well, however, I think you were a bit hard on yourself about the bunny one, because it's very cute.

      Thanks Carly! I still use the yellow one everyday for my pencil sharpenings and things. I gave the bunny one to my friend and she liked it :) Have fun with the clay!

      Thanks Liz! They are lovely and pretty affordable if I remember? You need to buy some clay when all the shops open again 😂

    they were all so lovely. I'd like to ask if you used any varnish or not? if so what kind? or do we need to?

      Thankyou! I just used a couple of thin layers of mod podge. i don't know if you will need to varnish if they aren't going near water - but always better to be safe!

    you could make the bowls first let them dry and sand them down then add the features it may break up the steps and make them easier? they look really cute!

      That might work, but I'd be worried the pieces wouldn't fit well together 🤔

    Hay hun I watched an informative video some time ago about using an air dry clay. And they basically said to use water to help pieces stick together and it stops it from cracking when it drys. It was an informative video about das airdry clay for beginners and he goes into detail about best ways to use and store it for better results. Maybe it will help hun. Your cups and pins are cute ☺ x

      that sounds interesting! i actually have some DAS clay that I haven't tried yet. I can see how the water would help it dry better though - like it would dry slower. Thanks! I might have a search for it :)

    What kind of paint are you using? Can you use acrylic paint?

    • @monkeymintaka
      @monkeymintaka  4 роки тому +1

      It's a mixture of Paper Artsy acrylic paint and Holbien Acryla Gouache :)

    the bowls look great :) I never have any luck with that hobbycraft clay, it either dries way too fast for me to do anything with, or ends up cracking when its drying :(

      Yes, it's not the best for larger projects. I might try the other one (I forgot the name but you get half as much for the same price) next time. These were just for practice though 😁

    hi! is it possible to attach that air dry clay to an existing clay pot that's hard already? because i want to attach legs to the pot i bought 😅

    • @monkeymintaka
      @monkeymintaka  4 роки тому

      I super glued my legs on that had broken off and they have held together. You could try that?
