You guys are a shining light to the world and an inspiration for me. The message about the seeds that you sow are the plants that you grow is so true it rings down to the core of my being. Until all has passed away seed time and harvest will be the law. Thanks for the blessed seeds and stay blessed!
The message by the man in the video: Plant the goji shrub in the center of your garden, or perhaps in a container, because you don't want it to trespass into your neighbor's property by spreading runners into it.
To those who want to plant Goji, taste them first. The taste is not as robust as any common berries you ate. They are packed with vitamins, but for some the taste is a turn down. The other aspect you MUST consider is that they spread crazy! I dug out my Gojj and tried to dig out the roots. Year later they pop up in the area of about 15 feet away from the site. Can't get rid of them.
@@phillippinter7518 Even the dry ones don't taste that good. But if your idea of growing Goji is purely for its vitamins, then I guess you can dry them and them make powder out of them.
@Yevgeniy Shcherbakov I really like the dry ones from the grocery store. A lot of people do. They are pretty sweet and the only ingredient is goji berries. I don't know if the home grown ones turn out different
@@phillippinter7518 They do. Make sure you get the right variety. One is a bitter one. Don't remember which one. The other one is a sweet one, but much sweeter when dry. I'd rather grow other berries.
Oh my goodness I’m SO glad you did this video. I have seeds on the way and planned to put them along the fence! lol That would’ve been a problem. Thank you for putting this out there!!
Thank you for your relaxing tutorial growing goji berries, I have a small goji bush but yet to see any berries it is about 4yrs old. I have seen 1 flower. Leaves and little thorns, maybe not getting enough sunlight I have it situated, and we are moving close to September here in the UK. Hopefully next summer. Thank you again, also Dan the bbq looks very, very, tasty indeed.
Dan you need to know i talk to you all the time while I'm gardening!🤣🤣🤣 It's true! "I'll need to tell Dan all about my volunteer tomato plants that showed up today!" Oh just before my supper I was out eating Mulberries....and I was saying, " thanks for the tip Dan! Thinning off some of these really helped!" I have 15 trees and they are all so Abundant this year! 🙏 God Bless!!!
In Asia, Goji berries are considered as “herbal medicine” so there is a limited quantity we human can consume, e.g., less than a teaspoon. We can put them in cooking or dry them till the bitterness turns sweet. After we dry them, we can put them in yogurt to add the extra nutrients in breakfast.
Do you eat them raw, or do you prefer them some other way that you process them, like dehydration? I have a red variety that has a lot of berries on right now that I have to pick in the morning so I was just curious.
Y’all need to find out how to fix your problems. Gotta be something you can do. I bought 4 starts from Amazon that were in poor shape when they arrived but they are thriving and I got one berry the other day. 😎😎😎
Hi Dan, thanks for another great video. I am having a difficult time with my goji berries because we have gophers or voles or moles who have attacked them. I had to pull up what was left and put in a wine barrel. So far they seem to be thriving. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the pests? Thanks again and have a great week.
My goji berry plant was doing great until i trellis it. Then the leaves started turning yellow and purple 😮 i took it off the trellis and it got new growth with green leaves 😊

I have been looking for Goji berry plants for quite a while. Our nurseries can't seem to get any in. Would you be so kind as to sell me a couple? I Have been raising perennial kale ever since I received some in the mail from you. And we love it. Our chicken and ducks go crazy over it. I can't seem to have enough. I have nine right now. Some are very mature, others about two years old and some from last fall cuttings which are about 3 1/2 feet tall. I've wanted Goji berries for a while now and can't get any live plants.
Last year , i didn't pick the last +/- 100 goji's from my plant and leave all those fruits decomposing in the garden! But ohh boy, I really regret that! This spring i ended up with about 100 clumps off 50 seedlings per clump! It turns out that they really grow easilly from seed! Just as easy as you can grow them from cuttings! Thnx 4 the vid btw
Brother I believe I found an abundance of these whenl I was down by the river bottom here in Phoenix. This smell of the Bush was a bit wretched. It's spelled like somebody passed gas/farted. Do you find that to be the case with your Bush?
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief. That saying is about Paul combating false doctrine. You sow fleshly seeds and you reap corruption. You sow spiritual, Christ's seeds, you reap everlasting.
Unfortunately our coffee friend will be extinct before too long if people don't cool it with the fossil fuels. I love your channel and videos. Thank you for what you do

I’ll just become the goji Queen. Lol just kidding. Mine are in a grow pot.
What if you let them dry like the ones at the store?

goji leaf tea is very healthy as well

Love your videos and your garden is so so beautiful 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks so much 😊
Love your content man!
Can you plant the gojis in a half whiskey barrel? Thanks for all you do
Yes. Mine is in a grow bag similar in size. It’s dong fantastic.
I use lambs quarters like regular spinach- in Soup and dips. I will be trying the oyster sauce or hoisin sauce soon. Thanks. Blessing.
AMEN BROTHER, Your words definitely resonate as does your garden.
I heard a story once about this monk that lived in ancient China and all he ever ate were Goji Berries, its said that he lived for 900 years.

HeeHee, I do that too! And I remember his words about pruning, planting, thinning while I am doing my tasks.

How many goji plants do you have? And how old are they?
Mine are starting to produce finally. But I’d love to know how I can help them out. How much fertilizer, sun, water do they like?
How do you season your greens? Seasoned water?
lol. Alice put about a 1/4 cup of oyster sauce in the water. It turned out great!
@@plantabundance Thanks!
Made me hungry! 😊 Also I just planted a goji berry in a raised bed... think I’ll have to move it. I don’t think it’ll have enough room.
What maximum and minimum temperature 🌡️ in degree Celsius in summer and winter respectively?
If i make a soil for planting, what would i use in my soil mix and what ratio?
Nice video on the berries, let me know if your selling a few, be safe and blessed
I have three questions, thanks for your favorable reply ~~~ 1. What fertilizer? 2. Do they need to be watering everyday? 3. Do they need full day sun?
Like your video! If you have extra goji plants I would love to start to grow in my backyard.
Wow the humming bird did chime in right on key!! #goodseeds❤ thanks for sharing!! I came for the Goji berry information and got so much more🙏🏾🕊🌏
what zone are you in?

Up to you. They sell dried berries at the store. If you want fresh you gotta grow them.
My goji grows quite intensely - but never gives fruit and hardly blooms! :-(

I think I’m going to yank my goji out of the ground first thing in the morning. I hope it’s not too late…only been a week since I planted it.
Sounds great.
Dan, any way I could get some starts from you for the goji berries? I would be happy to send you the money to ship them to me. What ya think?

Have you ever found an answer to your question? I ask because I also have moles that tunnel everywhere and am beside myself. Have a good day ♡☆♡
Do you sell & ship gogi plants? I'm very interested in growing them here on our homestead.
I've bought several from Tractor Supply in the spring when they sell their fruit trees and vines.
My goji berry plant was doing great until i trellis it. Then the leaves started turning yellow and purple 😮 i took it off the trellis and it got new growth with green leaves 😊
