My favorite one, amazing as always! You have inspired me to play the Popper studies ever since I was a kid, and to finally start my own channel. Thank you Joshua for what you do!
Amazing, this is a lesson for everyone. The most beautiful intonation. A beautiful instrument. Jos demonstrates how important it is to do inflections of the hand to get perfect intonation. Wow I just loved it.
This is the best version i have heard! absolutely amazing!!!!
That was wonderful to listen to, what a beautiful performance!
Solemn and smooth. Well played
You make this look easy.

Bravissimo ...lo fai sembrare quasi semplice 😊
Vero! Io sto impazzendo sul 9 del Popper e lui lo fa sembrare semplicissimo...
Beautiful❤
Sounds great! I have a dim memory of playing this once at Aspen back in the 80’s - not this well though.
Does any one know what happened to this project? Has it continued, but is only available on Patreon, or has it come to a halt?
No idea man
He got scared of the octaves
I just realised he suffers from long-covid, so it's probably why he abandoned this project.@@josefbarta3867
No tension. Great intonation. Wow
I don't most people have any idea how difficult that intro is to play beautifully, in addition to the kind treatment you have to give your hands to get through the middle, keeping in mind Piatti wrote on less tense, more pliable gut strings (with no endpin!). It's well done but still medium rare like steak.
so good!!!!!!
Brilliant
Wow! Absolutely beautiful!
So beautiful!!!
Cant wait for no. 7
me too
I would have also stopped before nr. 3 hahah
Fr that thing is a nightmare haha
I still find no.1 the most problematic.
I'm learning this one actually and from one cellist to another, this was absolutely gorgeous. Your tonality was ok and intonation was nearly on point and the fingerings really helped me but c'mon...
those cheekbones, man!
maravilloso!!
Sigh..... skills and feels. Congrats.
What software did you use to record this audio /video? Quality is excellent!

Um, when is the next one coming out? Weren't they supposed to be released every week or a little longer if the piece required more work? It's been 3 months since this one came out.
Wondering the same. Hope he didn’t get sick or something. Maybe just being active on Facebook now, but I’ll never be on that platform, so hopefully we’ll get some Tube time from him soon...
bend my mind he posts things on Patreon about it, I was going to spend 3 dollars just to actually see the content but it’s sold out somehow.
NotSilent Sold out? Lol. Weird...
Piatti 3 is very hard, prob the reason :]
@@s.l5787 he has some practice clips of 3 on his insta, he will return eventually :)
I love you❤️👍👍
Hi! What strings do you use here, if you can recall?
How do you memorize all of this!!?!?!?!
It's not that hard, as soon as you start practicing it, you memorize it automatically :)
nice work. If I may (I'm also a cellist) try to adjust the angle of your bow when you play in piano. and hold your left elbow higher, in order to enhance your shifts in higher positions. right hand on strings shifts are amazing
Slow clap
That sounds amazing! Which strings do you use?
Larsen AD spirocore GC I think
Beautiful ❤️😍
